It's seven years after the end of the war and Voldemort's fall; the wizarding world is in shambles. Hermione uses Arithmancy to figure out that a new triad needs to be formed to restore balance to the wizarding world.

I am a Harry Potter fanfic fanatic, I only discovered it after the release of DH. Disapointed that the series was ending, I read some blurb about fan fiction (which I had never heard of before) clicked a link and 'voila' I was hooked. I started out reading mostly Dramione, but evolved and although I still like DM/HG, my OTP is SS/HG. I also enjoy reading LM/HG and 3-somes with SS/HG/LM or DM/HG/BZ. As you can see I love seeing Hermione paired with those lovely Slytherin men.
After reading for nearly 2 years, I started writing a bit of my own, mostly shorter drabbles or ficlets. I've written seveal stories for fests, such as the SS/HG exchange, the LM/HG exchange, and the LuciusBigBang, fest among others.

So true. He was a bit hasty and a lot harsh. She did start calling him names first, but she was embarrassed and cranky. His defence is to attack first and ask questions later.
Very nice....well written, nice build to the relationship so far. Excited to read more!

Well, thanks so much for the lovely compliment. There is definitely more, 12 chapters in all and it is complete. Each chapter is being posted as it gets a second beta check and makes it way through the queue, so stay tuned for more.
At least she fancies Lucius now. I wonder how he feels about sharing her? :)

Thanks. The story is all written and was posted this summer at the ss/hg exchange on Livejournal. But the version here is a bit more polished, having been beta'd again. If you want to wait for it to be complete here before you read it, there are 12 chapters in all. It takes about a week or so for each chapter to go through the queue, so it should be done here in 6 to 8 weeks. :) Thanks again for reading. :)

Hooray, we're moving closer to a tentative understanding between our main players! I can't help but think that freezing nights spent in a lonely cabin will help Severus to quickly come around to the benefits of being in a relationship...the warm benefits! Being the greedy reader I am, I hope the next chapter comes soon!

I am so glad you're enjoying. Your theory sounds good, but Severus has been living a very solitary life, somehow I don't think being isolated in the north woods of Canada is going to phase him. :) Just so you know, this story is complete in twelve chapters. Each chapter is just going through a final beta run. I will most likely be posting chapter four sometime this week. It does take a few days to go through the queue after it gets posted though, (so be paitient, it is coming). I promise!
This is such an interesting premise! I'm enjoying the read... looking forward to more when it's ready :)

I like how Hermione laid it all out for Lucius and I can't believe Harry brought up that its his home.. But Hermione did question him on keeping James safe.. Does one act equal the other? And Hermione is still gonna be pissed when Kingsley comes.. Will it be the 3 guys (Harry, Lucius & Kingsley) against her? I'm sure she can handle herself but still.. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Thank your for your comments. I think Harry was uspet that she would question his putting his son at risk, James means everything to Harry and he was a little touchy about Hermione's accusation. And Kingsley? Well, he considers Hermione a good friend, but he is trying to look out for the good and safety of the entire British wizarding world. Unfortunately he is not above using her if it comes to that.
Thank goodness for a realistic reaction from Hermione toward Lucius Malfoy for ONCE in one of these stories! I hate how easily she let's things go and gets charmed into his bed in the nonsense I've read elsewhere. You made an excellent list of reasons why I believe this would NOT happen lol. I feel your story will take a bit longer for her to trust Lucius enough to even blink while he's in the same room hehe. And Harry is almost Ron-like in his accusing Hermione of letting Lucius in the house while James is there - he knows what happened to her, what Lucius did, he should have expected that reaction and understood it. I know he has issues about losing his family in this story, but for that very reason you'd think he'd at least realize where she was coming from.

Thans for the comments. I'm glad that you found the portrayal of Hermione realistic. Do keep in mind though that you are looking at a ss/hg/lm threesome fic, so she will be coming to an understanding with Lucius. It is bound to happen. :D

Poor Hermione...she seems to be doomed to be "the last to know" about nearly everything around her! The specifics of the triad relationship, the people Kingsley believes will be part of it, even down to reassigning her work projects. No wonder she's not in the most agreeable of moods, all things considered! I'm very much interested to hear what Lucius' response to her hypothetical scenario will be...

I think both Kingsley (and Harry, who only knows what Kingsley as revealed to him) are reluctant to to say too much for fear of scaring Hermione off. They are hoping she will figure out what her role entails and how to deal with it. As for Lucius, only time will tell if he has really changed or not.
Oh, this promises to be a fun read! I can't imagine any of the three involved to submit gracefully, so it should be a bumpy ride to the top... I must run to the next chapter to see what happens next!

Thank goodness for nightmares, right? I think that was just the catalyst needed to get things moving for them. They had begun to break the ice a bit with their cribbage and story swapping, but it might have taken them quite a bit longer to get where they are now, had she not had the nightmare. It caused them to have a more personal moment and I think that will be the start to a more intimate relationship. See, Lucius does know what he is doing. Great chapter!
