It's nice that Crabbe has learned something about himself, but also a bit sad he had to wait to do so till he was dead. I also feel sad for Hermione that she is so distressed. It must be very strange when you could always trust your magic that it's suddenly not properly working..I'm intrigued how this will end..

OK, you've piqued my interest. A library-dwelling ghost-Crabbe in addition to whatever is going on with Hermione? Definitely different, but in a good way!

Now this is very interesting. Is her magic going wrong because of the castle's maintenance spells or has someone cursed her? And Crabbe is actually portrayed as literate! Good job. ^_^

Too funny!  Poor Hermione - she never fails at anything, and she has just combusted a simple spell and knocked over Snape.  Could her day get any worse?  The obnoxious students were so believable - oh, the joys of being a teacher . . . .

BTW, Hermione was a Fifth Year when Dolores was in residence. Or is it that she was so incensed that she misspoke? Loved the exploding feather. Hermione must have been channeling Seamus. *snerk* ^_^

Poor Hermione, but it was funny!  I can certainly see Sev's point of view...  Still, once the novelty of their new teacher wears off a bit I imagine that things will go a bit easier in the classroom.  Unless that exploding feather is the result of more than just pent-up frustration...hmm.  Either way, I really enjoyed this and look forward to the next chapter!

Hermione was a fifth year when she sent Umbridge to the centaurs. Other than that, amusing and slightly sad chapter. Good work.

This is a very nice story.  Really great for a Saturday afternoon reading.  Your visual aspects of the story were wonderful.  It makes me want to leave the Tennessee smokies to see the beautiful coast of Oregon.  Also, this is one of those stories that need an epilogue.
