I adore the world of HP.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to stir my cauldron.

Sad one, girl. Very sad for Draco to see the 'realities' surrounding him in such a way, and to have no other way out. :(
Chilling story--and very credible if you believe that Snape was a man who killed AD in cold blood--that it would come to this for Draco.
Oooh very good POV. Dark, lonely, empty. Exceptional work beautifully crafted from canon. warty xxxPost script: 4 1/2 stars cos it's not a 51 chapter epic! LOL

LOL!! Thanks, mate.
I meant that I like how you didn't succumb to the temptation of making this MORE THAN a one shot! Gawd, I can't do anything right this week!!! Of course, If you do decide to add more chapters... you certainly won't hear me complaining!
Ah, yes, warty is a muse! She's an asset to starving writers like me, thats for sure LOL ;) I lke how you didn't succumb to the temptation of making this a one shot... but I can't help but wonder anyway... Like if Snape is truely Dark for instance, and I don't really think that he killed Narcissa- hence his distress, and I wonder if he will feel utterly defeated by the loss of Draco. Draco is a prat, but he is still just a child really, pressured and frightened... and I think Snape feels some sort of fatherly protectiveness over him. I admire how you weaved tragedy, loving memories and ambiguity into this all at once. It makes 'what could have been' all that more poignant. Great writing!
Aw. Poor Draco. I just wish he'd found another way out. Good read though.
Keep feeding those bunnies. Mine are hollow chocolate Easter bunnies.
I love the ending. Death is a sad way out, true, but one can't help but feeling a sense of another Mudblood-hater gone.
Ouch! I'm guessing Snape had to talk like that to keep his cover, but Draco thought Snape was sincere, so Snape will feel terrible when he finds Draco's dead body. Sigh.... is there a second part coming, perhaps Snape's perspective? (reader goes off to lick wounds from reading well-written but sad fic... NOT a happy ending...)

Yeah, I was thinking that Snape could show up with Narcissa in tow and Snape was just saying/doing all that because Wormtail was still about. I debated on having him save Draco but was uncertain.

Could Wormtail (the eavesdropping rat) save Draco?

Nah, the perve.... lol.. Draco would rather die than have that filth touch him. Teehee.
You killed my hero but it was a fitting end for him. Wonderful Ms Southern.

Well, in my twist that I was gonna add in, I was going to have Snape come in with one of those bezoar stones that stops poison. Then, I didn't want to get too lengthy with it. I still may post a quick something or other to go with it. lol... Who knows? teehee

I kinda like it as is , it leaves us open to the options of imagining Snape's reaction as well as those of the Order. Heck who knows maybe Voldie gets mad and will punish Snape for Draco's death.
I loved this! To me, it is so realistic! I could see Draco having those thoughts and doubts, and without mummy and daddy to run to how he would feel that way. I did feel bad for him, even in HBP, so this makes it all the more real! Good job, as usual!

Thanks, doll. I agree that it could be something like this (his thoughts anyway). Glad you liked and thanks for the work!
The poor boy - having been indoctrinated and manipulated throughout his whole life; he never had a chance to form his own opinions or to make any decisions on his own- but the one to end his life. A very sad story.
