How very beautiful.  The gardener's patience perfectly paces the story.  The baking of bread speaks of peace, and cooking for each other is your particular kind of romance. Infinitely appealing.

That's lovely. And I'm lucky I bought aubergines yesterday. Maybe I'll switch what recepe I had in mind to try this one instead. ANy mushrooms or one variety in particular...
