Or are they? What would happen if Severus Snape found out that his dream existence was nothing but a figment of his imagination? Would he chase after happiness?

A twenty-something years old woman who enjoys reading romance far too much (no doubt due to the lack of it in my own life). While struggling with the same problem Hermione does in so many of your stories - that of finding a man with above a mediocre minimum of brain capacity - I write stories with the hope of one day becoming good enough to earn something other than reviews for my efforts. (Not that I don’t love reviews - I adore them! - they just sadly don‘t pay my rent.) As the real world holds no Severus Snapes, I have plenty of time to practise...
To those of you still folowing my story Snape's Dream - I haven't abandoned it. In fact, I just sent chapter 7 to my beta and I'm typing away on chapter 8, so I'm back from my summer hiatus :)

I'm so glad you liked it. I have to admit that the coma-idea is stolen from the tv-show Bones. The idea of just what Snape would do in the same situation wouldn't stop jumping around in my brain. I hope you like where it's going, too. :)

Just read through all the chapters. Lovely set up. I like how he keeps mentally correcting himself to use her last name.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the christmas holidays work out for them.
The Squid is definitely preferable to Molly or all the rest of those options. But I'm glad she's choosing Snape.
Oooh! What a setup! Snape is so tricksey and Hermione is so trusting. I hope that after three weeks together, she will start seeing him in a new light.

Always the Slytherin. He would be tricksey, I imagine. He's been a spy for so long.And I'm sure three weeks will make her see Severus rather than Professor Snape.

I have to tell you, this story is like a breath of fresh air! The premise of Hermione NOT being attracted to Snape or harbouring crushes that aren't reciprocated, and Snape this time enamoured to the point of distraction, is a blast to read! I hope she takes him up on his offer to spend Christmas with him - she just might get the present of a lifetime!
Does he think luring her to Wales with a spurious offer of brewing potions will work? Of course he does! This is Severus Snape we're talking about here. ^_^

Ohhh, now Snape will have all the time in the world to woo (hehe) Hermione. They're both up for a very interesting Christmas time. I wonder what Minerva'll say... hehehe. This story it turning out so great... keep going.

I absolutely loved this chapter, a break-up with Ron, a hex thrown his way, and a invitation to spend Christmas with Severus, it was absolutely perfect!
I can just see all the girls giggling and speculating at Snape in the halls, at meals, in his classroom. So funny.And now he gets three weeks alone with Hermione. Brilliant! I just hope he doesn't find a way to sabotage his own happiness.

I kind of feel sorry for Ron, he's so clueless, he sort of tries, but a girl like Hermione is not going to be interested in typical 'girly' things. Perhaps, Lavander will distract him in order for Severus to move into place.

Hehe ... yes, Ron doesn't impress her, poor him. But then he's not very sneaky. He's more the obvious, grand gesture type of man, leaving Hermione to roll her eyes at him. Or, so I imagine :) As for Ron - there is someone who wants him, too.Thank you!

I'm enjoying this story very much. I sympathize with Hermione's frustration over Ron. I never could figure out how they would have been happy in the long run. I'm enjoying your Severus' efforts at winning Hermione.
