Something odd indeed has happened in the life of Severus Snape. He is a happy, engaged man about to start a new life. Things are, for the first time in his life, perfect.
Or are they? What would happen if Severus Snape found out that his dream existence was nothing but a figment of his imagination? Would he chase after happiness?

A twenty-something years old woman who enjoys reading romance far too much (no doubt due to the lack of it in my own life). While struggling with the same problem Hermione does in so many of your stories - that of finding a man with above a mediocre minimum of brain capacity - I write stories with the hope of one day becoming good enough to earn something other than reviews for my efforts. (Not that I don’t love reviews - I adore them! - they just sadly don‘t pay my rent.) As the real world holds no Severus Snapes, I have plenty of time to practise...
To those of you still folowing my story Snape's Dream - I haven't abandoned it. In fact, I just sent chapter 7 to my beta and I'm typing away on chapter 8, so I'm back from my summer hiatus :)

Three weeks alone together? Hurray! O hope he'll manage to at least kiss her during the time. Or more if he dares...
The more I read it the more I hope he will manage to get her back. He really deserves it.
This is shaping up to be a very intriguing, amusing and funny story. Looking forward to more, thank you.
Enjoyable chapter - a pause in the action. I hope there's
a new love interest for Ron around the corner, so
Hermione can focus her attention elsewhere.
BTW, I must point out that in the first paragraph, where
you say that Severus "dollied out" detentions, the word
you want is "doled" - doling out means giving out.
Oh, that's rich - the Slytherin who wants to learn more
about the Muggle world! But Hermione's bought it so
far, so full marks to him.
It's almost cute what Severus is trying to do to woo her. I said almost because I don't see Severus as cute.
Too funny on the gir's topic of discussion. But, it's good to see Hermione starting to see Severus for himself, not just her professor!
Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
This is so fun. I read all five chapters today.
Hourray! He has put The plan into motion. You know I don't mind a bit of hexing Ron if necessary *evil nasty grin* I also must admit your parting words left me a bit uncertain. I really hope for a hapy end for him. (with her preferably)
I've just read all these chapters at once and am really loving your story. I was really affected by poor Snape being forced to wake from his dream only to find his new-found happines was a fantasy. That must have been awful. But is was nice to see him focus on building a new future rather than wallowing in anger or sorrow. I really like how he's using his Slytherin cunning to improve his chances with his Hermione. I just hope he sticks with it until his dreams come true.
Looking forward to more ...
At least Real-Hermione is starting to think a little about Severus' sexuality. Hey, ya have to start somewhere, right? I hope that Severus starts trying a little harder, instead of giving up on persuing her. Maybe he just needs a big push!
Well, maybe he's a coward after all. I really hope he won't let go of her that easily. Of course she isn't the woman of his dream. She has yet to become that woman. I hope he'll realize that soon.
I am so sorry and sad for him that everything he believed his life to be was just a dream. Maybe he can try to talk to her and eventually date her. Because I would hate for him to stay alone and miserable in his memory of what could have been. Or worse trying to attend to his life just to relieve his perfect life dream.
Hmmm? The size of the nose, eh? I think I've been dating the wrong men. ^_^
Ron needs a lesson in reality, doesn't he. ^_^ I like the way Severus is plotting and planning, though. ^_~
I just read the 5 chapter in one go, and i just love your story. It's sad that the happy life he remembers was only a dream, but i love the way he's planning to woo Hermione, and finally something seems to have made her snap and realize that Severus is actually a man. I'm looking forward to more interactions btw the two on them. Keep going!
Oh, give it up with Ron, Hermione, please!
aww it ended too soon! More please!!
aww it ended too soon! More please!!
Seems like she has a long way to go. I think it's funny that she pictured him flirting like that. Made me laugh too. But I didn't need to hide in my pillow. :)
LOL. Poor Severus moping all on his own.

Yes ... Things didn't work out like he hoped. Thank you!
I love his mannerisms and thoughts, especially his practicing to billow and sneer. Too funny. Of course to be that good, he'd have to practice some. LOL Now, you've made me worried with your note. I really don't like stories where Snape doesn't get the girl... (you weren't implying that, right?)
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
He is good at it. All those manerisms of his often reminds me of acting. So how much of it is part of the man Severus and how much is just a smokescreen? I play a little with that idea. As for my note - no I wasn't implying that. :) Just that his plan won't go as smoothly as he hopes. Not that anything ever does for the poor man.
Response from debjunk (Reviewer)
See, I can take that as long as I get my happy ending. It might be frustrating to see him fail, but it will be worth it for him to get what he wants in the end.
I love !SchemingSnape! Bring it on!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! :) Next chapter on the way.
I'm in agreement with Severus on one thing - I never didunderstand why JKR thought Hermione and Ron wouldmake an ideal couple. Not in a million years!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Yes. That's a mystery. If Severus has any say in it, Hermione will see sense soon, too. :) Thank you.
I hope they end up like in his dream.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Indeed :) That's what Severus is plotting for.
