You're killing me here. If I want greying, wobbling, and farting, I will shut off the computer and tune back into real life. Where is my ridiculously over-the-top, sexy underneath it all, never aging Snape?Okay, I suppose a reality check is good every once in awhile. I certainly appreciate that you were willing to write him in this manner, because truly, we don't see it very often. Poor Hermione. I hope she farts right back at him, bigger and better. Sex-god Severus will return to normal service as soon as possible, but not until after the holidays because I already have nefarious plans for him. In the meantime, I must ask Hermione to restrain her loose puppies and shove her sagging belly back into her control garment before Severus realises she ain't so perfect herself.

Even though it DOES destroy everyone's fantasy of SexGodSnape, this is how it is in reality! I agree with the person who commented that they hate the three times a night, every night stories, or to take it one step further, the ones who write him as such that he should be a porn star with almost cartoonish *cough* features...down there. This is so different but such a nice little fic, thank you for writing it.

As long as the reality mirrors the anticipation sometimes, life is good. Perhaps she will get used to the older version. Maybe, maybe not.
Talk about bursting a bubble! Probably closer to the truth than any of our fantasies.But not true of AR. I saw most of him in Snow Cake, a relatively recent movie. Even in his sixties he still looks good to me. ;)

Hmmm. Interesting portrayal. While I get greatly annoyed by three plus times a night and that's every night depictions, I must admit your physical description was a jolt to the system (but who said reality is a bad thing!). What was horrid was to treat Hermione like that (second to a bottle of firewhisky), for what would have been their first night - That was a total turn off! I think I could have accepted his behaviour more if they had been together for several years - you tend to be forgiving of such foibles.

I feel it's up to you whether you think she should. It does work well as a stand alone piece- just one of the few that it is probably closer to fact than most of us would like to acknowledge! Another date? could be another disaster! But it could also be an exploration and acceptance of the less than perfect state of their bodies, personalities or habits. Thanks for your thought provoking work.

perhaps he is not pretty, but I'll always be fond of him. I've never been interested in pretty anyway. Brainy...now THAT I like.My husband, btw, has some very snarky moments. He has a PhD in chemistry. ROFL. He's prettier than Snape, though.

Funny and sad at the same time - I love it. I recently read a Snarry in the same vein on another site - Snape and Harry have non-magical sex, crude & embarrassing. It's good to put these pin-pricks in the fantasy now and then.

At some point, we'll see Hermione as a real woman - not always with pert breasts and a perfect ass but with a body that's worn a bit by life as well. She'll wonder if he could still desire her. Actually, THAT woman might make a far better partner - a woman of flesh and blood, not an unatainable fantasy. There may be times he'd rather NOT be required to rut like a goat and would simply like the comfort of her warmth in the bed beside him. Besides, there's always morning LOL - and beautiful bodies aren't required for beautiful sex. Otherwise, what hope would there be for most of us mere mortals???

How funny! And yet so realistically true... I love my husband dearly, but in his early forties he's beginning to show the physical signs of the general wear-and-tear of life...but I still don't kick him out of the bed (for snoring, in his case)! Thanks for making Severus real!
