Of course being Severus he couldn't have hug her to make her feel better, but hey, it's Snape we're talking about. We wouldn't like him any other way.

Oh, I like this. And as a first-year, first-day teacher, I could have used a Snape to tell me the same thing. It's true; we all have awful first days. I guess the important thing is what comes after.
