I thought this was an okay story- so much of it is AU that it bothers my canon-loving mind (I'm not sure how many years ago this was written, but that probably accounts for must of it; we simply didn't know what his parents names are, or that he grew up a poor boy, not rich like the Malfoys), but if I ignore those little things then I liked it overall.

Lovely ending. It's always nice to see Severus finally happy after all these years.

Christmas with Severus' parents was delightful, and I liked Theo and Eileen right away.  And just as importantly they obviously liked Hermione.  Severus' choice to take Hermione to the cozy cabin on the edge so the Snape Estate on New Years was a good one.  I liked the way the told her about finding the letter from his childhood friend and how he had cried when she died.His proposal to Hermione was so sweet, and I was just over the moon.  They care for each other so much, and together they will be fabulous.  Two Potions Masters married to each other... one a university potions department head and the other a successful business woman.  It don't get no better 'n this.  LOL!Oh, my goodness.  I think Dean Grey may have been harboring hope for something more with Severus than his being the Head of the Potions Department.  And even though he made it clear that he was engaged to be married, she seemed to recover well and even had the good graces to appear slightly embarrassed.Severus and Hermione will soon be married.  Ya-Hoo!  Thank you for this lovely story of their coming to love one another.Beth

She can just sit and remember what he looks like under his robes when he is being indifferent to her in class.  And smile smugly. ;)

This is a very good chapter. I like how you stick to the story's summary. I thought this was very well written, and I look forward to reading more. I hope she's not too terribly upset with Severus. I'm sure he had his reasons for not telling her he was her supplier sooner than this. But I'm glad he decided to reveal himself to her prior to their meeting.

Great Start I look forward to seeing how she will react in talking to hm again.  I'm surprised he rolled over on that so soon.  I thought he'd try to meet her with a glamour or somthing.

Oh, lovely!  I should think she wouldn't really be too offended by his deception. Yes, he lied. He lied copiously, even when he had the chance to come clean.  But no doubt he had a reason to do so.  After all, people are more likely to do business with a stranger than someone they consider borderline evil. I do hope Hermione's brain is louder than her heart in this instance.  Cool story, and I'm looking forward to more!

I still love it!  From their meeting at the Leaky Cauldron to their arrival at Severus' parents home to celebrate Christmas, I found their relationship growing and progressing just the way I had hoped it would.  Now they are exclusive to each other.  Woo hoo!And now it's time to meet the parents!  I can't wait to see how this lovely afternoon goes.  Hopefully Severus' parents will take to Hermione the same way she and he have taken to each other.  Please update soon!Beth
