I'm a 29-year-old from the eastern outskirts of Europe who loves reading, languages, her job and has too much time on her hands for her own good.

That was really good, you should write a sequel:)
delish!
Hmmm, I swear I left a review for this but now I'm thinking I must not have hit submit. Duhhh!Anyway, marvelous story. I loved the dynamics between the two during their altercation over the mushrooms. If they just would have shared them... sheesh! The sex was super hot. I was actually proud of Hermione for turning down his offer to apply as his apprentice though, it would have seemed to much like she fucked her way into the spot. But I'm also very glad he showed up at her cottage later, maybe they can both end up happy. Thanks so much for sharing your tale with us and please, please, please get busy and write some more stories. Can't wait to read more of your work. :)

I'm very happy to hear you like it! ))))Yep, that's our Hermione, honest to the bone when it comes to big things. I wouldn't hesitate to fuck my way into Snape's apprenticeship, hell, into Snape's whatever, haha )))I'm currently working at another story, it's long, this one, and I hope that it soon makes an appearance here.
I love snarky foreplay!!
Response from windwings (Author of Of Fickle Fates and Fateful Fungi)
So do I! And Severus and Hermione usually deliver :)
Very intense! You have a lot of really great turns of phrase in here, and the snarky foreplay is just... hot! Nicely, nicely done!
Response from windwings (Author of Of Fickle Fates and Fateful Fungi)
Thank you very much! The 'great turn of phrase' particularly tickles my writer's ego, since English is not my native language. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
That was fantastic; loved it. Definitely a good way to prep for your exam. hehe. I think you should get to work on another fic asap.

Thank you! I'm happy that you enjoyed it! well, I think I may have quite covered the prep for the essay part. I also have a bigger fic in the works, hope to post the first chapters very soon.
I love the sensuality of this. Beautifully written and a lovely ending!
Response from windwings (Author of Of Fickle Fates and Fateful Fungi)
Thank you very much! I was thinking of leaving the ending much more ambiguous and open, but Hermione and Severus insisted :)
This is a truly lovely story and really made my day reading it. I found it directly as a recommendation from your beta Melusin. You have painted such a vivid picture that I felt transported to the hilltop sight of the fairy circles. You also did an excellent job of describing Hermione's emotions and the backstory that led up to their encounter. Your sex scene was incredibly hot, but made meaningful by Snape's confessions to his interest in Hermione and why he had taken Draco on as an apprentice. I'm glad you finished it with a hopeful future. Bravo and well done! A great addition to the SS/HG genre.

Thank you very much! Your review made my morning :) I'm especially happy to hear the sex scene turned out to be ok, since I'm not a big fan of writing smut :) (though I do love reading it, haha! ). And may I use this answer to send a big thanks to Melusin (who is a fantastic and very thorough beta, BTW) for recs.
Okay, pet peeve. A fairy circle is the ring of mushrooms. The mushrooms themselves are not "Fairy circles", they are mushrooms. But only certain kinds of mushrooms grow in fairy circles. (I could go into a mycological lecture about how they spread, and they are frequently nearly completely circular, but I'll spare you. ;) )Having gotten that out of my system, this was BRILLIANT. Your writing style is fantastic! I'm quite disappointed this won't continue, but I am going to start looking for your other stories!
Response from windwings (Author of Of Fickle Fates and Fateful Fungi)
Hee, I was wondering if anyone would pick on that :)) My fault, I sacrificed specifying the fungi and just referred to them as circles for the sake of not making the set-up way to complicated. But I'll be on the look-out for things like that further on. And thank you very much for your review, I'm very glad that you enjoyed it.

I'd venture that I'm probably the only one who gives a fig, even of those who DO notice! But, but, your only other story here is a drabble! MWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *sobs*
I enjoyed every single word of this deliciously decadent and sensual story. Well done!Beth

Oh. My. God. I have never read a more erotic, deliciously decadant story than this absolute masterpiece you have presented. So eloquently written, so vibrantly vivid... I really have only three words to truly describe how deeply I feel for this story:Oh. My. God.
Response from windwings (Author of Of Fickle Fates and Fateful Fungi)
Wow, saying that my ego was most thoroughly stroked doesn't begin to describe how youre review made me feel! Thank you very much. This is very inspiring.
Poetic fancies my lips won't speakFanciful gifts I will not seek.Thine mind and heart cannot be boughtWith rare ingredients I shall thee court.:D
Response from windwings (Author of Of Fickle Fates and Fateful Fungi)
Oh, I inspired a poem :) *purrs*. I take it you like it! Thank you.
Wow, this was just all kinds of perfect! Loved it! I like the way you describe scenery; something which always fails to permeate my brain but I could see what you were describing very vividly.
This is one of the lovliest stories I have ever read, thank you! The wonderful thing about TPP is that one can be reading here for years and still discover gems like this, quite like a fairy circle.
