Soft music filtered through the hall hauntingly. The languorous melody soothed the aching heart and yet left a bittersweet taste of longing. When Lily died, he thought that was the greatest pain he would ever feel. That feeling paled in comparison to the emptiness he felt now. Disregard HBP & DH.

Although this is a sad story, it is beautifully written. I'm happy that Hermione and Severus at least had some time together after the way, enough time to have Malia with her dark curls and bright eyes.
My money is on Severus turning out to be a great dad!
Very touching and should have a 'keep Kleenex handy' warning.

Sad but wonderfully descriptive of a husband's grief. Very moving.
SAD. Poor Severus. This is beautifully written but I like stories where he has a happy ending because he deserves everything, don't you think? Lovely story though, I think he will be a great Dad.
