Reviews for Is a Virtue
I enjoyed seeing Severus through Molly's eyes. I also liked the part about changing with time and growing together. It was sweet that Arthur made her feel comfortable, even when childbirth had made her feel unattractive.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
I thought that must be so common for women to feel ugly after having kids. Their bodies aren't what they were when they first married, and stretch lines, weight gain for the baby, etc.. Arthur is a very good man. I've always seen him as the kind of husband that when he looks at his wife he still sees the girl he married. Molly will always be the one and only for him, and for women who feel less of themselves, it can be the greatest gift in the world. Thanks!Livvy
you each did an excellent job of showing the kind of loving, committed relationship severus and hermione have to look forward to. i love the very different perspectives of these two couples, but the conclusion is the same in both cases. you've done our team proud. :D
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Thank you so much for the glowing review and the lovely stars. It's funny how two polar opposite couples can reach the same end point. Just like the Captain and Tennille said, "Love will keep us together." Have some wine with that cheese. Can't wait to see what you cook up for the finale.
Response from kittylefish (Reviewer)
heh. i cooked me up half a chapter yesterday - but completely forgot to use an prompt words! lol! must revisit and revise. :(
Oh, that was excellent. I loved the second chapter. Lucius and Narcissa especially were fabulously done. I'm so looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
So glad you liked it, kitty. Thanks for your all-around support. And of course the stars.
Narcissa was simply bitchy, wasn't she?I'm glad that Lucius was at least a voice of reason. I liked Arthur's and Molly's reminiscing about their marriage and life together. How sweet and touching. I'm glad that Arthur sees how much Severus loves Hermione.Oh, that disappearing act was so coool!
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hi, Bea. It's nice to see a sympathetic Lucius once in a while, don't you think? But Narcissa will always be on the critical side. It's the Black in her. On the other side of the coin, Molly and Arthur are sweet, but they can be fierce when the situation calls for it. Thanks for the review.
It was nice to see the relationships of two very different couples and their feelings on Severus and Hermione's marriage.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)Livvy
This was a great chapter. I liked how it was done through the perspective of two other couples. And I like how night and day different the Weasleys and the Malfoys are, but when you peel back all of the layers, they have that same strong, unbreakable bond of love and devotion that holds their respective marriages together. I hope Severus and Hermione have a fantastic wedding night and maybe they'll even share it with us. What, they put up the do not disturb sign? Well, your story mates will just have to find a way to get us in there. *knock, knock. Housekeeping...* ;)Oh and by the way, this was very funny:She squirmed upon the red and gold Chiavari chair as if her Slytherin bottom was having an allergic reaction to Gryffindor décorThanks for such a nice chapter!

, thank you so much for the glowing review. "Housekeeping." That's a little naughty, but I like the idea. ;)
I love the opinions of the wedding and how the husbands seemed to see something the wives missed.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Very true. I think many women overlook the wisdom their husbands possess. Thanks!Livvy
Hey ladies! Great job with Chapter 1! So glad to see that you're continuing the "Deliver Us" timeline. I can't wait for Chapter 2! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Thank you so mch. It's lovely hearing from you. Glad you liked the opening chapter.
I really enjoyed Harry giving Ron a piece of his mind about Hermione; about time that particular redhead grew up.Having Lucius much more understanding than Narcissa was an interesting twist to the Malfoy family dynamic, and I liked the portrayal of Draco & Pansy. They might not be quite every bit as tolerant as I'd like them to be, but it's clear they're trying despite their upbringing.I think Severus is lucky he didn't end up on the business end of Hermione's wand after being that nasty about Hagrid. ;)Looking forward to seeing what's up next for the merry couple. :D
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you for the review. I tried to show Lucius as Severus' friend. A friend, who was willing to understand because he knew what his friend had always wanted and needed. Whereas, here, I saw Narcissa as Bella's sister, intolerent, prejudiced.Draco and Pansy are trying, and since the chapter was about acceptance, it made sense that they are working on accepting the relationship despite their misgivings. As for Hermione, I don't think she would pull out her wand to a man she obviously loves and respects, just because he uses his tongue, that is known to be evil and sarcastic. That would be foolish of her, and she's no fool. It is better for her to explain her stance, as she does here. Words are better than a pulled out wand, which would induce him to retaliate in a similar fashion.
I love the part with Draco and Pansy. Good start.

Hello and thank you so much for the review. I love the Slytherins, they are very interesting to work with. Glad you liked the opening.

I'm so glad you decided on asequel for this round. I had loved every single word of this chapter and I've just realised I never notice anyone of the prompt words. *bows until my nose grazes the ground*
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you so much for the lovely review and stars. I'm so pleased you're enjoying the follow-up. As for not noticing the prompt words, that's such a lovely compliment.
i liked how you handled the theme of acceptance, including not just her friends and his friends accepting their relationship, but their need to accept each other's friends as well. there were some really fun lines. i think this chapter is very well written and gives us a nice starting point for our sequel. well done!

Hello and thank you so much for the lovely review and stars. It was a pleasure to be a part of Team Venus and to co-write the chapter. I can't wait to read the next installment.
I like both Harry and Hermione's rants. It was quite delightful.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello. Lady Tuesday's responsible for them both. She is brilliant :)Thank you so much for the review.
Poor Severus, but he should have known she wouldn't elope. Glad to see you guys back at this.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you so much for the review and the pretty stars. Yes, I suppose he should have. But I think there's a part deeply buried that quite enjoys the adoration his Hermione seems to inspire in people.
LOL So the snarky git hasn't changed much in regards to Gryffindors? Well, with one exception. teehehe I really liked how Harry put Ron in his place. Sorry, I can't vote - I'm on the other team, you know. But good luck all the same.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Thank you so much for the review. It is lovely to hear from you. I'm really pleased you enjoyed the story and the follow-up.
Well, yes, they don't live in a vaccum, and you guys are doing a great job of showing us that.Very entertaining how the various parties try to see the good in the match.A very entertaining chapter. I especially liked Draco and Pansy. They way you wrote them, I'd like to have them explored deeper. Pity there won't be room for that in this story.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you for the review and stars. I enjoyed writing the Slytherins. You're right, they give us another glimpse into Severus, the man, as opposed to merely Severus, the lover, or Severus, the git. :)Please keep reading, and reviewing.
"We don’t want her referring to you as Ferret. It’s too good a name not to stick.” LOL :)
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you for the review. I'm so glad you enjoyed that line. I enjoyed writing my Slytherins. Please keep reading, and reviewing.
Excellent! i like the way it all tied together along the way, and how each writing style complimented the next. and a wonderful way to end it, especially the side comments by both parties, Harry, Ron and Ginny and Severus and Hermione. excellent work!
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you for the review and stars. I can only say that it was a pleasure to work with someone of Lady_T's amazing ability. Please keep reading, and reviewing.
To be very honest: there were things I didn't like. But in the end I liked it much more than I did not. :)I very much apreachiate that this is a sequel and I wonder whether this was planned. If so, I'm amazed. - And if you even answered that in A/N of "Deliver Us" I apologize for being forgetful and too lazy to check ;) And I'm happy about the way Ron behaves. Let's get this straight: I'm not a particular fan of Ron (to say it in the very most politye way). But it's tiresome to see him as the only enemy to her everlasting happiness...And it seems to be a very warm and cozy story with all the support they got and Snapes neverending, lovingly stubborn will to make this work (yeeesss, I did read the "Deliver Us"). - Even if this means talking to a probably drunk Hagrid.Let's see with what faith comes up for them.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you for the review. Especially because you didn't really enjoy everything. We hoped to write the sequal but it wasn't planned. I guess it was dependent on getting into the next round :) Please keep reading, and reviewing.
Lol, the picture of Draco and Pansy surrounded by Gryffindors is absolutely priceless. It's good that Ron won't remain a twat forever...he has to grow up at some point.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you for the review. Glad you approve. I enjoyed writing the Slytherins. To me, exploring the Slytherins give us another glimpse into Severus, the man, as opposed to merely Severus, the lover, or Severus, the git. :) Yes, I agree. Ron's got to grow up at some point. Thank goodness Harry was there to tell him what for though. Please keep reading, and reviewing.
i love hagrid in this story! and the convo between draco and pansy was incredibly good. go team venus!
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you very much. I enjoyed writing the Slytherins. So I'm really pleased it made an impression with you. Hagrid doesn't even need to speak to be a crowd pleaser. That's real talent :)Please keep reading, and reviewing.
A great start to the continuing saga of Severus and Hermione.Just love the bit about Hagrid compared to a tugboat parting the waters.Go Team Venus.
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)

Congratulations, ladies, on making it to the finals. We've been polishing our game and expect a tough fight. May the best team (ours) win! LOLI enjoyed Ron's tantrum. He's so good at those. And Hermione was certainly quick to put Severus in his place. What, oh what, will be her punishment?
Response from Venus (Author of Is a Virtue)
Hello and thank you for the review. It's a pleasure and a previledge to be up against such august company. Please keep reading and reviewing.
