‘Regardless of the question, the answer is yes.’
Nicely ended.
I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy this morning, depite what is going on outside. This was really good. I think it helped tremendously that her friends gave him a heads up that his feelings would be reciprocated. In most stories when they meet and are suddenly a couple, it doesn't really work for me. But here, they have a history, and shared years of longing to back them up. I like that there are no grand exclamations of love, they just know it is meant to be. They had no definite destination, except to go there together, no definite planned activity, except to do it together, no immediate intentions to be anything, except together. Beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing.

"‘Good evening, gentlemen,’ he said silkily. ‘Tell me—will you regret it if I drink the punch?’"
I *adore* this line! So very Snapesque.
Thank you for a lovely Christmas story!
Oh god... now I'm crying. This was just too beautiful for words and I am totally in love with it. Thanks for sharing something so personal and so perfect.
Five stars doesn't seem enough for this story.
Delicate and lovely. I'm so sad to see this story end, I have enjoyed it so. Thank you for it. Merry Christmas!
Now I'm sad. He indulges in fantasies, then berates himself, further deepening his own sadness. Stop the madness, Subversa!
Now I understand his attraction to her bright light. He's still so negative, but it's understandable because his demeanor keeps others at bay, no-one seeks out his company.
A sad, yet beautiful start. I shall be ever hopeful his waiting is not in vain.
Whew! A tiny sigh of relief upon the arrival of Miss Granger. It's a small miracle she coerced him into visiting Grimmauld Place, but his desire for love must be stronger than his need for self-preservation. Having read my fair share of Subversa fics, I know there will be a curve ball thrown at some point. No full sigh of relief yet.
Oh, so sad that he didn't realize until much later the possibility that she was enjoying his company.
"Dependents or supplicants" How typically Severus!
Oh Subversa, my friend, it is so wonderful to see a story from you! Please, please do not leave Severus and Hermione (and us) wondering for to long....after all it is Christmas luv!
At least he's not alone.
Very nice.
I read the first three chapters on OWL and was delighted to find chapter 4 here. This is a lovely story. I'm so glad he was found by her and that he was willing to accompany her.
That's got to be better than sitting on a cold bench! :)
Oh.... so short! I still feel bereft! But at least they're together, in some form, anyway! More... more!!!
