Professional thinky person. Loves British lit, literary theory, law, philosophy and piles upon piles of good books to read. Cooks and bakes whenever possible. Michigan native, spent some time living in France. Loves black coffee, black tea, black shoes and black clothing. Not in an emo sort of way. *g* I'm a fan of Snape, which you might have noticed. I'll pair him with anybody, and possibly with a few inanimate objects. I just <3 you. Not much else I can, really. ;)
Author's Response: ~big hugs~ And that is very much reciprocated, my friend. Thank you very much, and thank you for the rec, as well! I was very touched by that, and I'm glad you enjoyed this story.
Oh lords I love the way she 'studied' him. The whole pretense of 'practice' was so amuzing. Lovely holiday story.
Response from Bluestocking (Author of Let Nothing You Dismay)
Oh, thank you! I'm delighted that you enjoyed this. I loved writing the "practice" conversation, because it's this oblique way for them to admit their feelings. It's indirect enough for Severus to be able to be honest, and Hermione is smart and sensitive enough to know that he needs that in order to open up.
This is wonderful. My heart was just bursting for Severus.

O and I forgot to add: you can say so much in only a few words, you definitely have mastered the art of less is more.

After a frozen moment of surprise, Snape's hand tangles in her curls and his awful nose bumps hers—once, twice, until they find the right angle and fit together as closely as two oddly-shaped souls can.Lovely. Simply lovely.
Response from Bluestocking (Author of Let Nothing You Dismay)
Thank you very much! I'm so glad that you enjoyed this story, and especially that line. They're both prickly people who don't necessarily fit along with many people--but as long as they fit each other, nothing else matters.
I just adore how he comes to see things as Hermione does quickly. Makes me think he was hoping for it all along!

~grins~ You know I suspect you're right. He had hopes, but he wasn't counting on anything. However, if she's going to offer... ;-)Thank you for the review!
