Sequel to Some Things Change.
A year after the triad marries, they find life together is not exactly simple. Things are still changing--but is it for the better? Draco's feelings for his father are intensifying, and what Lucius wants is complicated, too. How will they make it together without falling apart?

Due to the often controversial nature of my fics, I've decided I will no longer be posting here (this not NOT include my WIPs--Princes in Exile and Caged Bird Sings will continue to be updated here. This is regarding only my oneshots and future long fics). You can find all my stories at my Livejournal, under the name literaryspell. None of the fics are, as yet, friendslocked, so you can read at your leisure, and friend me, or not, as you like. :D Be sure to check out my master list, which is the first post on my LJ page. Thank you!
If anyone would prefer to send comments to me personally, or would just like to talk plot or make suggestions, please contact me at literaryspell@live.com. I'm happy to hear from anyone!

Draco is definitely in the middle of the sandwich right now in every sense! :)

Now that's something I'd like for lunch! LOL
Ooh, such lovely smut. I'm surprised at how guilty Draco felt, but you wrote it marvelously. Looking forward to more :D

Draco's just all-around confused right now. He's not used to keeping secrets from his father. I'm glad you liked it!
Nice chapter, although I find Lucius and Draco together a bit awkward.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of The Only Constant)
Thank you. Yes, the awkwardnes is a part of the exploration. I don't think it would be half as smooth in reality.
First of all I'm so glad and relieve you're back. I feared somethint happened to you.
Second I can't wait to see the bab pointing his/ her pretty littld nose. I just wonder if there's a way for wizards to select or at least influence the gender of a child. And last, I'm thrilled by your upcoming sshg fic.

You can always check my livejournal (literaryspell) if I don't update for a while. That's where I discuss my writing woes and wows. :D I'm not going to introduce a spell or anything that will fix the gender of the child--that feels too invasive to me. Maybe they will just be lucky. :DAnd I;m so glad I have you on as a reader for the HG/SS! It's darker than most of the het I've written, but it's also the best. :D
Seems like they should tell Lucius abiout it openly, since the plan was/is that she would get pregnant with Draco's son first due to inheritance issues. No/yes? I hope Lucius isn't worried about anything too serious. Thanks for updating!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of The Only Constant)
I agree that they should tell Lucius, but that's not what Hermione wants! LOL Yes, the plan is to have Draco's baby first.More on Lucius next chapter. :D
Response from June W (Reviewer)
Well, they could just take a chance. If she has a son with Lucius, Draco would still inherit as first son, but if Draco has only daughters, then Lucius' second son would inherit. Interesting that the plan is now "not what Hermione wants" since it was her idea in the first place. Bring on the next chapter!
I like the dichotomy of Hermione's feelings towards children. It is how so many people feel. :)
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of The Only Constant)
I'm glad that felt real--it comes from a real place. And the way it came on so suddenly--many of my friends were like that. :D
Sweet chapter, although I'd love to know what is going through Draco's mind.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of The Only Constant)
The new chapter is Draco's POV--it's sometimes difficult juggling all three, especially since Hermione's getting shafted a little. :D
Damn.... That's all I can really say.... Damn.... I wish i had a pair of blonde demons for my very own... that will provide for some saucy dreams tonight me thinks... :) Zx
Draco seem to be getting used to his father. I suppose that's a good thing.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of The Only Constant)
It's taken time to get there, and there will be setbacks, but things are much easier now that they crossed the last barrier, so to speak.
So, I don't know why I keep reading- this subject matter squicks me deeply- but I do. I think I actually like this story. I know, not much of a concession, right? But since this is one of my 'absolutely not's in fanfic reading, it is saying something. The control emphasized, the safety aspect, the dual relationship between Lucius and Draco, all of these make this theme both palatable to a squickee, and dare I say quite good? I like the care you take to portray this as consensual and human. They don't just leap into bed; they think about it, angst a bit, consider what this means to them as a person... it's good, well-thought-out writing.Props.

No, I totally understand and am truly honoured that you read despite your misgivings. That is a great compliment. I'm glad you appreciate the build-up. I know it drove some readers crazy but I couldn't justify not taking the time it deserved. So that that came across makes me so pleased!Thank you so, so much.
Closer and closer they move to the ultimate conclusion. Nicde pacing. :)
