It has been a slow night, and Rosmerta is just about to close up when she receives a visitor.

A Slytherin (morgaine_dulac) and a Ravenclaw (star_girl) met through a mutual love of the brooding Potions master. They discovered they enjoyed writing seperately, but thought joining forces could be even more fun. Are they bat-shit-crazy? Well, you'll have to wait and see...

That is one way to deal with the stress and tension of his life. I wish he could share more with her. But alas, that is not to be.

There's always time for another tango.
Awe, so sad to see Severus being so pent up with anger, frustration and the weight of teh magical world on his shoulders. Least Ros was there to help ease the burden. In a way she least expected but sure she sould not forget that lock in.
Thanks again for writing I really enjoyed reading. Thanks.

We're glad you enjoyed this little piece. We decided to experiment with a lesser-known female character rather than treading a more traditional route and the result surprised us. There could be a whole backstory to these two, if only there was time to tell it.

Rosmerta barely had any fillings left, the poor witch ;-)
I haven't visited TPP very often since the end of Star Sisters, but I came in just in order to see if there was anything new from you or some of my other favourite writers. I was definitely glad to see this one-shot piece from you. As ever, I love the way you build the mood into your story and your narrative. I can very well imagine your Severus fitting into canon, and releasing his frustration and despair the way he does in your story. We never get to know Rosmerta well in canon, but I can very well imagine her as described by you. I wonder if she actually felt something for Severus before this encounter. I believe she might. Some flash-back might be useful. Maybe linking this storyline to Star Sisters II would make sense. Good plot exploration!!

We've missed your reviews very much Crystal and we're pleased you enjoyed this little piece. We intended this as a one-off, but others have mentioned expanding it somehow and with part 2 of Star Sisters being set during HBP, there is certainly scope to introduce Rosmerta a little more.Keep your fingers cross that out Muses are kind next year. We intend to start writing again in January.Until then, we wish you happy holidays and a good winter.
Unusual pairing (at least for me) but interesting and likeable. I definitely enjoyed this sensitively written piece.

We're happy you liked it, and even happier that you liked it enough to leave a note. We've missed you!
Response from slythkid (Reviewer)
Oh, thank you, how kind of you. But not to worry! My not leaving a note doesn't mean I didn't like a story, it just means I haven't got around to reading it yet (especially the multi-chapter stories). Time factor apart, it's always a pleasure to read your things. :)
This one-shot is fabulous, and I want to cast my vote for you to expand it. By nature and by circimstance, Severus Snape is often in the position of having to maintain a solitary existance, but one can only be alone for so long before the need to connect to another will either be filled or a worse torment of the soul will settle in. Likewise, Rosmerta was put into the position of becoming a business woman when she was not yet through her NEWTs. When her father died she had to give up her chance to complete her studies and take over the pub. In her capacity as matron of The Three Broomsticks she is always there to lend a trustworthy ear to her customers who need to talk, and she holds their many secrets as a good steward should.I think there is ample history here for you to work your considerable magic if you so choose. But before I close I can't help but ask how Star Sisters, Part II is coming along? While a continuation of Two to Tango at the Three Broomsticks, is ripe for being turned into a marvelous multichaptered story, Star Sisters has already acheived epic status, in my humble opinion, and I for one will be waiting with eager anticipation for its debut.Well done!Beth

Good thing we posted something. We just realised that we'd missed your reviews, Beth. They always make us smile.
It seems that both on here and on Occlumency, Rosmerta and Severus have the thumbs up as a ship. And although intended as a one-shot, it has certainly given us food for thought as to how their story could be expanded.
As for Star Sisters Part 2, writing should commence in earnest in the new year. The girls are having a break (as are we), but we are both itching to play with them too!Thank you as always for your kind words and Merry Meet in 2010.
Fantastic one shot and extreamly hot! Do you plan on adding more or maybe write a sequel?
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Two to Tango at the Three Broomsticks)
We had not planned a sequel, but seeing as you guys like this pairing, we might just have to re-think.
Good as a one-shot; will there be more?
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Two to Tango at the Three Broomsticks)
You're not the first to ask us that. We hadn't planned on it, but if the demand is there, we'll certainly think about it. Thanks for your appreciation and for leaving a review.
That was just incredible! very nice!! so good!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Two to Tango at the Three Broomsticks)
We're always eager to please *wink*
