I'm a freelancing Yank who lives in the Midwest with her husband, three cats, and two dogs.
I'm a dabbler by nature. Jack of all trades, master of none. I write, run, swim, garden, quilt, bake, and so on.
Reviews for The Snake's Head Fritillary
Oh, I think she definitely has some ideas! ;)
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
Indeed.
Yeah, I got a late start on this one. Thought I'd just as well read all chapters before wasting precious time reviewing :) This is a lot of fun. There is a nice mixture of humor and suspense with a sprinkle of romance. I don't go for HG/LM. But your stories are good, so here I am, reading right along. And, I am quite enjoying it. I'm actually looking forward to further exploring this romance and seeing how this story will earn its rating. If you want to invite Snape for said chapter, I'm sure Dumbledore's summer home has room enough for three. Anxious for more!

Hey, I got a late start on answering reviews! We're twins or something. I'm THRILLED that someone likes my writing enough to follow into a ship they don't normally read. Tickled pink. I hope the rest of the story lived up to expectations!
All that trouble just to invite a mate round for a cuppa and a chinwag! :)
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
Snape isn't the most direct man on the planet. :)
That was utterly random, and yet I still enjoyed it.
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
No, not really random at all. But I'm glad you liked it all the same.
He's very persuasive. And he's very impressed by her. I love it.
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
*grins* Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, quick update! It appears that you did in fact go for the more obvious choice (not that I mind, it's just the one that I'd been sort of expecting). Now for Hermione to go back to work, quit, and find a job that better employs her skills... and gives her time for plenty of extracurricular activities, like Malfoy-pouncing.
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
The choice was driven by the recipient's prompts. I tried to make sure that it didn't come entirely out of no where, so I'm pleased that some people expected it. :)
Arrrgh! I'm dangling in suspenders here- there are the obvious choices, but I'm guessing you'd not go for obvious, so I haven't the faintest clue as to who our temporarily brown-haired captor is. But hey, snogging? That's a good step in the right lemony direction.
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
*whistles innocently* The next chapter is up. :)
Oh, now you're doing it on purpose! Do you want us all to collectively die of curiosity here? Aggh! Come on. Tell. You know you want to. Looking forward to seeing just how many possibilities Lucius can show Hermione later...
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
Welllllllll... I was very nice and went ahead and uploaded the next chapter. :) Wouldn't want you to expire.
Merlin's Pants Girl!! You leave us with the bloody kidnapper, unconcious and bound in the room and we STILL don't know who it is?! Gees, you're evil! I love it! But I suppose you didn't leave us totally wanting - at least there was a little bit of action between Lucius and Hermione Can't wait for the next chapter! xXx
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
*bows* So glad you appreciate my particular variety of evil. :)
Tease! Who is it? And all that maths made my head spin, and I was bloody good at maths. What? That was thirty years ago? Shuddup! :P
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
*gasp* Did they even HAVE matrices back then? (yeah, yeah, yeah... I know the answer to that one)
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
I aced matrices and vectors, woman. And algebra. And calculus. Oh, those were the days. x never whinged about his headaches, y was never tired, and z wouldn't even think of mentioning her piles... :P
Go, Hermione. And I hope she quits her job.
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
Thanks for the review. Glad you liked it!
Hmm. Perhaps the intent is not to cause Lucius harm at all, which changes the whole character of the incarceration... Instead of looking for enemies, perhaps we should be looking for friends instead. I look forward to the next chapter to find out which it is!
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
Thanks so much for the review! Looks like your instincts were right!

you... like... left us... with a cliffhanger? wah!
im going to go find some processed cheese food.
Author's Response: Yup. I'm horribly evil. The next one's a cliffie too. But chapter 7 is up now. *tosses can of EZ Cheez*
Severus or Neville I have narrowed it down to, probably way off base but you never know. Enjoying this, just wondering how long before they rip each others clothes off.
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
I'm glad you're enjoying this! Time will tell who the kidnapper is!
Gah! The attack of the evil cliffie!! The only guess I have is Neville (herbology link to the book and Bellatrix link to Lucius) but I really think I'm wrong - why he would go after Lucius when it was Bella who tortured his parents? See, this is why I'm not a dective! lolAnyhoo, brilliant chapter and I look forward to finding out the mystery person very soon! xXx
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
Yup! Evil cliffies! I hope the agony was worth the wait!
Must be Neville - he likes plants! :)
Response from pyjamapants (Author of The Snake's Head Fritillary)
My lips are sealed.
Again, I applaud your sense of humour throughout! XD
Found this quite by accident, and absolutely loved it. I'm adding it to my favorites so I can enjoy it again and again. Thanks for sharing! :D
