my catalyst into the world of hp fanfic was the ignominious death of severus snape by snakebite in dh. grrrrr. he deserved better, and i set off on a mission to find it! i appreciate and admire the vast and limitless creativity of all of the wonderful writers on this site and in this fandom.
accordingly, for me it's mostly about snape: ss/le, ss/hg, ss/rl are my favorite ships. i especially like happy endings for those who did not get them at the hands of jkr.

This is indeed bittersweet. Poor both of them. Great work, can´t wait to read more of your stories.

you've made me very happy today by working your way through several of my stories - it's always such a thrill to realize that somebody liked something i wrote well enough to want to read more. :Dthis one is rather bittersweet; in my mind, there's more to it but it still doesn't seem to end on a happy note, which is probably why i've not bothered to pursue it. i've written many others that end more happily for the boys, though, if that is more to your taste.
Lovely, bittersweet story. It does make me wonder how they'll all deal with this afterwards: Remus, with knowing how considerate Severus is; Severus, with knowing how far Remus is willing to go to please him; both boys, with keeping the evening a secret from Lily; and Lily, with knowing/finding out the secret...

bittersweet, indeed. i've wondered about the aftermath myself sometimes. perhaps i will one day write a little more to this story. thanks so much for this review.
Beautiful, so poignant!

. :D
Whoa. I am not a not regular Snupin shipper although I read some stories before. But that was... wow. The idea never occured to me nor have I heard of someone else writing about it. Wonderful. Sad, of course. But lovely. I want to point out that my favourite thing about it is that it doesn't get fluffy at any point. Severus is well in character to my mind. He grabs his chance and lives it out without hesitating to hurt Remus by calling out Lily's name (albeit being concerned about his physical state ). Makes me wonder about the possibilities. And leaves me with some interesting questions about Polyjuice Potion. (In case you care, here is one of them: Could females collect their own hair while still a virgin and use the Potion to have the fun of defloration again and again? Um, fun..., well. You know, just think of the possibilities.)

yay! i'm glad liked this. it was challenging for me to write, and one of the things i had a little problem with hashing out in my mind was the whole sex with a polyjuiced version of a virgin. i wouldn't have thought of what you did, though. thanks for the stars, and i'm happy that i may have hit on something that hasn't been written to death. :D
that was well done!

thanks! it was a bit challenging to write with the whole gender isssue, so i'm happy you think i pulled it off, and i appreciate your telling me so. :D
Hi, hon, only took me ages to realise I forgot to review ;-) Sorry for that! Anyway, I just read the story again - it looks different when it's up, you know, and it feels different, too - and I still love it. Their interaction was spot on, Remus was brave and Severus was vulnerable, yet in character... Perfect. Very, very well done, dear!
Response from kittylefish (Author of What He Desires)
well, it is a little different, as i've incorporated your final round of comments. ;) thanks so much for all your help with the earlier versions. i'm so happy to read your positive review here, especially knowing what it took to get the story to this point. i appreciate all your concrit, wrappped up in friendship and support for my writing. thanks for the review. *hugs*
Definitely bittersweet for the both of them.
Response from kittylefish (Author of What He Desires)
true, that. thanks for the review. :)
Sad really, both acknowledging they are settling for less than they really want. Very well done though! :)
Response from kittylefish (Author of What He Desires)
very sad, but at least they are both in the same boat - misery loves company? of course, in my (possibly twisted) mind, there is space for something more to develop here, so it's not quite so tragic. thanks so much for the review. :D
yes, you are right, it is bittersweet.in that critical time of adolescence, the time when you never know who you are, this potion is very critical thing. And then to use it for this purpose. tragic. I think I can understand both. when you have the means in hand, to get what you desire the most. well, the temptation is extreme. Kind gesture of Snape to stay until the re-transformation was finished.Bittersweet, but wonderfully written.
Response from kittylefish (Author of What He Desires)
thanks so much for your thoughtful review. it is very sad, but yes, the temptation was far too great for either of them to resist. i think snape is finding himself with some mixed up and confused emotions over the whole thing. thanks. :D
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Thank you for writing something so beautiful and bittersweet. It was touching how Remus took on Lily's appearance so Severus could have her at least once. <3's it and you. And if there were more than five stars available here, I would give them to you. I would give you eleventy hundred million (yes, I know that's not real a number, but it conveys what I want it to.)
Response from kittylefish (Author of What He Desires)
*giggles* thank you so much, dear! i'm so, so glad you like it. that makes all the blood, sweat, and tears so worth it. :D :D :D :D :D :D
Oh...Oh my. This takes one from danger, through smut, then twists toward heartbreaking at the last minute. Wow. I'm still sort of reacting, so I can't really give a proper review, but I loved it, no question.
Response from kittylefish (Author of What He Desires)
proper or not, that's quite a lovely review. so glad you enjoyed the ride. thanks for telling me so. :D
