When I'm not toiling for coin or occupied with family and friends, I'm a reader, a writer, and an occasional beta. I left the fandom shortly after the fall of Granger Enchanted. I haven't written any fic since then, but I've recently been lurking around fic archives more often and reading my old favorites. I've also been writing and publishing original novels, poetry, and news articles while leading a semi-vagabond, fully-marvelous life. I'm still on Live Journal sometimes, Maria_lynette, the Wasted Wordsmith.
NOTE: My stories aren't loading on TPP since the site came back for some reason, but I've archived my best revised fics on AO3 as Wasted Wordsmith. Most of my other fics are still archived at ff.net and/or LJ if anyone's reading this and interested in reading or rereading them.

Reviews for Trysts With Quidam
I think Severus was wrong, Hermione could have been his for all that time and still manage to blossom into the same woman. He forced them both to be incomplete because he was too insecure! She should have insisted in being with him! At least they found their happiness in the end!It was an interesting story. Thank you.

oh this soo needs a sequel!!!!!!!!! Great read!
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Thank you!
I have really enjoyed this story, what with it being both hot and bittersweet. Thank you very much for the happy ending, though it regretfully came late. Thanks, again.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Thank you for reading/reviewing my story. The happy ending was late, but it's better late than never as they say. :)
Aww, what a nice ending. I hate that they had to be apart for that time, but maybe it will make them appreciate each other a bit more. And yay for "new life". Although, she'll have a harder time telling Rose not to "study astronomy" when she is doing that very thing :) Really enjoyed this and look forward to more from you.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
LOL. Yes, but Hermione can always point to her belly and say, "See! This is what happens when you 'study astronomy!'" Thanks for reading. :)
Why Quidam in the title? I don't understand the significance.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
In chapter 5, Hermione says, " I could be anyone that I wanted to be. I could be everything, or I could be nothing." So, that is why "Quidam" is in the title. :)
So he gets to be a father after all. How wonderful.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Yea. :)
Oh, parent teach er night! lol Figures that the one time they come together again, she gets pregnanat.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
LMAO. The sexiest parent/teacher conference ever!
The man is obviously too stubborn for his own good. He should have chased after her twenty years ago! But all's well that ends well, and this ended well.I actually like the promise of new beginnings after a long, sad wait for Severus, and what must have been a heartbreaking breakup for Hermione.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Yea, I couldn't resist putting in a bit of a happy ending. Thanks for reading.
I'm sure that resolution won't last. :)
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Not forever. :)
sad. :( yet relieving at the same time.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Oh he handled that far better and with much more understanding than I thought he would. I couldlaugh at how stuborn they are being. He loves her , she him. There are FLoos, Apparation and weekends. He's a fool.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Well, he's also 20 yrs. her senior. However, I wouldn't let him go, if I were Hermione! Thanks for reading!
What?
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
LOL! What?
Response from debjunk (Reviewer)
Oh, you know what! "Oh, yeah, I'll always love you, but I'll move on and so will you and blah, blah, blah. As I said before... WHAT?
I'm expecting you to make this right...
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Okay, okay! You've twisted my arm . . . not really, though. I've already written the happy ending. It's in the queue. Thanks for reading!
Wow. I feel so badly for both of them. Neither wants to be hurt but they love the other. Well, they'll find out the truth about each other soon, I hope.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Soon. Yes. Thanks for reading.
It's about time he figured things out. I was all, "yay! Severus and Hermione, finally together, happy and in love." Then I reached the end where I wished they were here with me so I could give them each a swift kick in the ass. When the weekdays run out, does the story as well? They don't have much time to get their act together. *sending the upload fairy your way to sprinkle you with 'get it done quickly' dust *
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
I'm going to submit the next chapter now. The weekdays don't mean anything, and they aren't meant to mean anything outside of the fact that they represent any day in the life, any name for the same thing, duplicity, the whole "a rose by any other name" thing. It goes along with the title, which I took from cirque du soleil's show, Quidam, for its meaning. This is a relatively short story when compared with most chaptered works of fan fiction, but I outline my stories to be short because I just don't have time for longer projects right now. I hope that you enjoy the next chapter, and thanks for reading.
Holy double Polyjuice, Batman! So, Harry and Pansy... or Harry and Hermione, dropping clues to send Severus on a wild goose chase.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Now you got me thinking of Adam West on Family Guy, lol. You might be right about Hermione, too. Thanks for reading!!!
The plot thickens! :)
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
YES!!! Thanks for reading.
But was it really Lavender? :)
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
NO!!! :)
The plot thickens. My initial thought was Harry and Hermione... to throw him off her trail. If so, that girl will do anything (or anyone apparently) to avoid detection. Or was it really Pansy? Could she talk Harry into such a thing... or Pansy for that matter? So many questions. I will continue to speculate until the next update... so please make it soon. I'd hate to forget to go to work, or pick up my kids from school because I was so busy pondering your little mystery here.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
OMG, don't forget to pick up your kids from school because of me! Do it for a better reason, like trying to squeeze in an Oreo cookie blizzard at the DQ drivethru before school lets out. The next chapter is in the queue, so I hope you like it. Thanks for reading/reviewing. Take care.
Response from HBAR (Reviewer)
To do list:1)Go to work2)Eat Oreo Blizzard3)Pick up kids4)Read next chapter of this storyI'll print this and keep it with me ;)
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
LMAO. It's good to see that you have your priorities straight.
You have a lot of interesting elements going on here. Draco's obsession with Hermione adds something a bit scary (and not just because I'm a staunch Harry/Draco shipper...), and I really like that Severus isn't already secretly in love with Hermione.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Thank you. Harry/Draco, huh? Interesting.
Response from Soul Bound (Reviewer)
Only way to go!
Very intriguing start—I can feel Snape's bitterness and confusion. Nice work!
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Thank you!
This was the first chapter I read of this, and it was good enough to send me off to read the first parts. Very well done! I really like the set up—Hermione's angst is delicious—and I can't wait to see where you take it!
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Thank you for reading. I'm glad you enjoy it.
Interesting turn of events. It must be very odd to see yourself in such a situation.
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Yes, it would be, lol. Thanks for reading.
Sorry, I didn't review the first chapter because I felt it more pressing that I just go right on to chapter two. I am intrigued. My initial thought since Ron and Hermione are always together is that they both desire someone else and so they've agreed to polyjuice and both get what they want. On the otherhand, if it really is Lavender and she has a thing for Snape... bleh! But I'd still keep reading because this is really good so far. Keep 'em coming ( the chapters, not the characters. Oh, what the hell, the characters too!)
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
LMAO. Don't worry. I'll keep them both coming. I'll submit the next chapter as soon as possible. Thanks for the review!!!
Like it so far , more soon ?
Response from Maria Lynette (Author of Trysts With Quidam)
Yes. There will be more soon. Thanks for reviewing.
