Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

I've never seen this before, and it's fabulous.

oh, thank you :)
That was very intriguing for a drabble. Almost could be a potent opener for a short story. Nicely done.

:O I have always prefer dialogue-only drabbles, why, I don't know, but that's it.
And then, then you come a write this, and it makes me glee of happiness! I looove this! Very much!
"she was astonished to see Snape quietly get up from his seat and hold out the chair next to him, the look on his face leaving her in no doubt that she was now very grown up indeed" That's priceless indeed!
Author's Response: thank you
awwww cute cute cute!
yes, it is the respect and being taken sereious what makes one part of the grown up world. And she REALLY belonged there.
Even for a Snape.
could have other reasons as well, of course...
Could that be the first step of their (tumultuous) relationship? Very lovely.

naturally ;)
A perfect vignette of the elegance of the man, and how he would acknowledge the girl become woman. There is almost a Victorian aspect to it, which I love.

Thank you.
This is the kind of a drabble that has stuck with me. I find myself thinking about it at odd times of the day.

Glad you liked it Molly.
I enjoyed the premise of the narrative. I must admit that it does sound like a very Severus like action.

Great answer to the challenge! :o)
Author's Response: thank you
The idea of a silent and respectful Snape is so compelling. While I know this little drabble is complete, the fact that I wish it was longer and fleshed out is a testament to how excellent this is.

Thanks Lissa, but I think the outcome is predicatable :)
Oh, wow! I love this. It's Snape through and through. In my mind's eye I can see the look on Severus' face when he stands and holds out the chair for Hermione, and the look on his face says she is all grown up in the most delicious sort of way!Kudos!Beth
