So brilliant, so funny.  Snape never lost his sarcastic edge despite the change in his relationship with Hermione and her mum.  Mrs. Granger displayed single-minded determination in pursuit of her daughter's intellectual and emotional happiness - perhaps a bit of yenta in her, hmm?  Hermione must have inherited the stubborn streak from her.Loved it!

I love this story. Hermione's mother is so gloriously undetered by all Snape's modes of deflection--you can see where her daughter gets it from. And your Snape is wonderful--perfecty sarcastic Severus.

Delightfully funny.On another website we had a thread called "Dear Snape." Someone would write a letter to Snape, posing as another character from the series. Then the next person was required to answer the letter the way she imagined Snape would answer. Then she was required to write another letter to Snape, posing as another character (or sometimes the same character). The letters and responses were hilarious. Whenever I needed a good laugh I would go there and read. Your back and forth here reminds me of that.Thanks for the laughs.

I have enjoyed Snow Day so much, that I felt obligated to seek out what other brilliance you may have posted here.  Good thinking on my part, this is my very favorite format for a story.  Somehow their personalities just shine when put down on paper.  I think that Hermione must be really important to him, for him to put up with Joanna's constant nagging letters.  And, while she picked up a bit on his sarcasm, Joanna seems completely oblivious to how annoying this is to him.  A sure sign that Hermione hasn't been entirely upfront about his true nature.  I love the parchment and ink comment, and  I can't help but think that the letters did not stop with the wedding, but she continued to endearingly harrass him for years to come.  Thanks for a good laugh.
