Even with knowing their shared past I find Snape really cruel here. The man isn't even in the room, so where's the fun if I might say so.

Severus takes what he can get, that's all. When you dissect Snape's behaviour about the Marauders, he's usually as cruel as one can be.Thanks for reading.
Delightfully written, Nasty!Snape. :)

Thank you so much.
I thought this was very good and well written, even if I'm not always keen to read the mean, snidey side of my beloved Potions master! However, I suspect the other members of staff had a different opinion of Lupin after the letter had been read out, making Severus' actions slightly more tolerable!
Interesting start to the story too, though I'm not quite sure what the imminent explosion that never happened was to be about! It would perhaps be good if you expanded on this at some point but it works well as a one-shot in any case. Thanks for sharing :-)

Thanks for reading. I think canon!Severus is mean and petty enough to act like that. It doesn't mean I like this side of him either. As for the explosion, I wanted to say that the tension in the room was so unbearable that an explosion was going to happen. I had no idea it wasn't that clear.
Response from Sevvy (Reviewer)
Hehe I knew you didn't mean a literal explosion (sorry if I didn't explain that very well!) I realised it was the tension of the situation but I just wasn't quite sure what they were all so heated about at that point - they seemed particularly angry with Snape - and I just wondered what he'd done!Your writing is perfectly clear - just me not expressing my thoughts very well - apologies! ;-)
