Hermione sighed inwardly as her eyes followed his form. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, perfectly aware he was too far away already to hear.

Awwwww.... sweet, peaceful, and endearingly cute at the end. Love that closing line from Brian. :)

Glad you like it!
I enjoyed the descriptions of the scenery and cuisine, then I fell in love with the gentle way they went from singletons to a couple to a family. Brian's offer to avert his eyes during the snogging made me giggle. :D

This was a sweet story. I enjoyed your rich description of the landscape. And the happy ending didn't go amiss, either. Loved it!

For a story that extolls the virtues of coffee without sugar, this was deliciously sweet. Perfect pacing, excellent setting ... a wonderful, wonderful morsel for a slow Saturday afternoon. Thanks for writing!

A lovely and rather unique tale - so refreshing to read something so completely different, particularly the Brian-Dursley-part of the plot.
Author's Response: Thank you for your kind words!
It all began that first night with a feminine English voice intruding upon his quiet introspection and appreciation of the night sky, and ended with a retelling of that first night's intrusion and the following week's certainty that Hermione was the right woman for him. Brian is a very lucky young man!Beth

Thank you! So glad you like it, and oh, yes, he is a lucky young man!
That was quite sweet. I'm surprised Harry didn't take Brian in, but then again, it wouldn't have fit the story as well.
Response from karelia (Author of Stargazing)
Thank you!I think Brian formed an instant bond with Hermione when she supported him as his parents went all Dursley, so that's how he came to stay with her and Severus during the holidays.
A wonderful story, really really great! I just loved Brian there at the end, his comment about how he was going to look away while Hermione and Severus snogged showed a boy who knows he is loved and accepted, and most importantly, that snogging is not unfamilar to our beloved couple:-))

Thank you! I'm glad this came across for you!!!*pats the shiny stars*

It's very lovely. Your description of his affair with Narcissa was just as I think it would be, really. Very realistic.
Loved the pacing, and the overall soft tone was just right for me today. Thank you for this story and the hard work you must've put in.
Author's Response: Thank you, Lula! This coming from you means a lot to me!
::squish::
K, this is so beautiful, sweet (no sugar, please) and hopeful. Strangely, I really liked this line:He realised, rather suddenly, how much lighter he felt in her presence. There was something about a witch walking barefoot. Especially one with pretty feet. She's so earthy and real, exactly what he needs. *sigh*Loved it!
Response from karelia (Author of Stargazing)
Phew, I'm glad you mention the no sugar part!!!Thank you for your kind words.
This was lovely and peaceful. I loved the images of the stars and the quiet of the forest. And bringing Brian Dursley in was a great bonding tool for the two of them. I guess I'm glad you were feeling maudlin because this result was very enjoyable. :)

It's funny how the Muse works; I had no idea what I was doing, and then, suddenly, Brian waltzed into it. LOLThank you for the review and the stars!
I like how you gave Severus someone before Hermione. It loosened him up a bit and gave him some confidence. It's funny how you don't realize how much you've grown attached to something until it's missing. Glad they both realized how much they meant to one another!
Response from karelia (Author of Stargazing)
I can't quite imagine that Hermione would be his first relationship; his age speaks highly against that.True words you've spoken!Thank you for the review and the stars!
This is *lovely*! I really liked the description of the stars, and the sense of peace and quiet they experience. Nicely written, litc!
Response from karelia (Author of Stargazing)
Thanks, Lyn! I'm happy you like it!
I love it. I like that they took him in. Also, good imagery. I felt as though I were there with them as you described the places.

Thank you! I'm glad you read it half-way through; I wasn't sure at the time if it was worth continuing, LOL.
