I enjoy writing simple poetry about love, life, and betrayal; either about myself or those closest to me.
Notice! December 2, 2010:
This site is amazing. The numerous reviews and reads I have received here has been beyond humbling. However as I have gotten older, RL has taken main priority to reading and writing fanfic. Any tiny fraction of personal time I am able to indulge myself has been spent in the fandom, but I must admit it had been dwindling more and more. I will NEVER abandon anything I have begun, and attempt to finish my WIPs every day. However, like many authors, I have made the mistake of submitting my work to more archives than I am capable of maintaining with the care that is due them. If I am able and time willing, I might continue to update my fics here, but my main priority lies elsewhere. MODERATED ARCHIVES ARE A BLESSING AND NECESSARY FOR QUALITY FIC. I stand by that. Unfortunately submitting my fics to various moderated archives means more time necessary to edit the various mistakes each individual archives will find in my work. My fics will continue to be updated at Ashwinder and Potter Place Archives, anywhere else will have to take a back seat. This is my problem and I take full responsibility. Thank you for reading, reccing, voting, and reviewing my fics on The Petulant Poetess!
Reviews for Coveted Persecution
Very callous of them to forget totally about him. I can see it initially, but for DAYS! Especially after Harry had those memories. It's understandable that Snape holds a grudge. He's very creepy, though, going to extremes with it.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Extremes, indeed. I wouldn't presume to say this Snape is canon, but merely a sadistic version of him (which Pennswoods specifically requested). Last chapter in queue. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
Only one more chapter?! Aagh! This is awful! I can't wait to see how things will (or won't) be resolved in this story... This has been very dark, but so well written that I can't stay away. I will continue to hope against hope for a somewhat happy ending for all involved, but if it is not to be, I'm sure it will be done well and thoughfully. What a great story! Thanks for sharing this!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Goodness me, what an awesome review! And unfortunately, yes, only one last chapter left. It's in queue and will be up shortly. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
I can understand why Severus feels the way he does...to have been apparently abandoned, left for dead for days, he probably feels as though he was given the same regard as a pile of trash despite all he had done for years. On the other hand, with all of the hundreds of dead and injured that Hogwarts and its staff had to deal with immediately following Voldemort's death, I'm sure that anyone who wasn't visibly there to be attended to just wasn't thought of for a while. "Out of sight, out of mind", so to speak.I hope that Severus' mind hasn't shattered to the point that he can't be reached at all.

"I hope that Severus' mind hasn't shattered to the point that he can't be reached at all."
I'd say this fic revolves around that sole dilemma. Hopefully we'll find out the answer next chapter. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
How will this be resolved? Hopefully people will realize she isn't insane.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
I think all characters involved are going to be surprised in their own right. Final chapter in queue. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Yikes! Indeed!. How can you resolve this in only one chapter? What a cliffy. I will be on pins and needles waiting.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Yup, just one, which is in queue this very moment. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Chilling chapter, it is sad that Hermione has let her guard down so throughly that she doesn't even realize she is being stalked.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Hermione just might have a few surprises up her sleeve. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Oh, somebody has vengeance on the brain! I do so hope that he gets some measure of it. I am a fair minded person after all. Well, a dash of vengeance and a good helping of hot, steamy vengeance screwing should clear the air a bit!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
It's hard NOT being on out beloved Snape's side, isn't? Thank you for reading and reviewing!
I think waiting for death and the end of pain for so long and having nobody come to retrieve your body - especially when you know that people have watched you "dying" - could wreck any mind. But still, your Snape gives me the creeps.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Thinking Snape is creepy is the best compliment! Thank you!
Gods, this is scary. He really is playing mind games with her, isn't he?Good story!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)

Thank you so much!
Such suspense. Yes, I would be very bitter also if they had not come back for me. One of the many things that irritated me about book 7.Sometimes I think JKR did that and didn't give Snape a portrait on purpose. She actually enjoys reading fanfiction and the way she ended it there is room for so much speculation on what happened to Snape. Perhaps that was her "gift" to us, the gift that keeps on giving through our imaginations as we entertain each other with our speculative stories.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
I heartily agree that JKR made Snape's death somewhat ambiguous. It gives us so much to play with. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Wow - you do an incredible creepy Snape - thanks for the shivers and the next update that can not come soon enough!!!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)

Yaay! I love creepy stories! Well done! This is so very exciting, I kind of like how Hermione's conditioned herself to forget (with Ron's help) and now suddenly it's all coming back and taking its toll (especially with Snape screwing with her!). Awesome! :)
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Thank you for saying this story is creepy! What a compliment. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
That's not creepy or anything! Christ, even I might faint when confronted with something like that, and it takes a hell of a lot to scare me. Since you liked the first quote here's another from the same author/book that fits with Snape perfectly: "We recognize that in man's nature there is a drive to oppress others, be they truly alien or his own women. Perhaps the true measure of his power is how openly he can indulge in this."
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Another awesome quote, thank you! And thank you for reading and reviewing!
yikes! very creepy and intriguing start. can't wait to see where you take it from here
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Thank you! And thank you for reading and reviewing!
Oh wow. Now, why did Dumbledore disappear the instant Hermione asked about Snape's portrait? Does he know or suspect something? What am I saying, Dumbledore always knows something... It'll be interesting to find out if there's a portrait wherever Sev's hiding that he can get to."Welcome back" indeed! If he keeps this up for much longer, he'd better hope he manages to actually scare Hermione to death, or she's going to hex him six ways from Sunday by the time she tracks him down. Sure, she feels guilty now, but any cornered animal will eventually strike out at their tormenter...I look forward to see what happens next!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Excited you enjoyed it! Thank you for the review!
wow! you talk about a nightmare! what a scary update! thanks so much!

Ooooooh, extremely creepy! I am on pins and needles!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Thank you! I'll be submitting the next chapter this evening. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Ooh, chilling. Just the knowledge that someone had been in her home while she slept is a violation. Severus is a master of psychological warfare. And the word "FRAUD" scorched into the potions text; a clue as to whom it's from, if one is willing to overlook the "obvious" fact that he's supposed to be dead. This is a fabulous start, and I'm on pins and needles to see where things go from here!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Psychological warfare, indeed!Very excited you enjoyed it, next chapter is up. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
OH, what a beginning! It's clear that Snape must have left the book there; to what is the word froud referring? To her? Her life? You really have made me curious. The general blocking of all thing regarding the Battle can't be healthy. Is it being reflected in the wizarding society you imagined for this story?I guess I'll have to wait and see.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
More on Snape and this Wizarding society to come! Next chapter posted. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Ohhhhhhhh I'm hooked. Yay! Great start, I can't wait to meet your Snape! ^_^
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Coveted Persecution)
Next chapter is up. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
