Awesome story, not something (plot wise) I've ever heard of before. I liked how we hated Umbridge from the beginning, before you ever wrote the first word from her as a character. And I'm happy that the little baby at the ritual was ok, and that it isn't definite that Scorpius isn't a squib. And the fact that Voldemort is gone, and therefore unable to affect their kids, just might make the purebloods more accepting of their muggleborn acquaintances (maybe).

This is an amazing original idea. I very much enjoyed it. 

Wow! I found your story through the hg/ss-quiz and it really amazed me. The detective-arche was gruesome and thrilling, the relationship building in the background was fun, but I especially must applaud you for writing not-stupid-Ron (just a pet peeve, I'm sorry). All in all, thanks for a great story, much preferable to watching re-runs of English detectives on the television, as we Dutchies are forced to do quite often :D.

Interesting theory at the end.  Let's hope they are correct.  You managed to make me feel sorry for Draco, hopefully his son will be OK.

Oh, Severus truly thought she was just pretending. His self esteem is not really very high, or is it?I liked it how Draco tried to sneer and exude pure-blood superiority while trying to make clear he had been postitioning all the keys.To have Voldemort draining magical ability from his DE being the reason for the Squib births tuly is an ingenious idea.All in all, an engaging, funny, thrilling and wonderful story you have written here. Wonderful story with a wonderful ending!  Everything from start to finish left me smiling and wanting more.  You have written such a good story with the potential for a great sequel.  On its own, this story is so entertaining and well written that it has "the bones" from which you could flesh out another great fic.  If you wanted to.  Sometime.  I'm just saying...Draco's character was very well crafted, and I could feel his horror at what he had found out about having received the magical ability of a Muggle-born baby.  Seeing how much he love his own child so much made him realize that he could not stand idly by and allow someone else to be deprived of their own much-loved child.  Good for him!Hooray for Hermione's Gryffindor courage that led her to follow Severus back to his own lab to make him talk about what was bothering him.  I loved all those kisses.  May there be many more in the future.Congratulations on a fine piece of writing!  Beth

OMG!     Draco holds the other baby tightly to his chest.     When I read this I knew this baby had to be Scorpius.  Yay for Draco!  Doing the right thing and ending this horrible ritual will have cost him the love of his father, but it shows that he is a better man than his father could ever have hoped to be.I am so glad that the miscreants were found out and are now cooling their heels in cells in the Ministry.  The reign of the Pure-blood Sanctimonia is finally at an end, and the culprits will be seeing the inside of Azkaban for a long time to come—hopefully for the rest of their lives.Thank goodness Hermione turned around in time to see Severus walking away.  Being reminded of his early years as a Death Eater had rekindled emotions he would just as soon never recall.  Happily Hermione has reminded him that he is valued by all and especially important to this one witch with whom he has been working to bring the murder of Muggle babies to an end.Now I've got to check out the final chapter to see what you have in store for Severus and Hermione.  Great work, Ubiquirk!Beth

Great story.  I'd love to read further adventures of D.I.'s Granger and Snape.  It could make a great series...*cough cough*  Beginning to end, it was well written, cleverly plotted, and to the point.  As loathe as I am to leave a good fic world behind, I love it when authors don't waste time with fluff chapters sometimes!

Gods, you are having me on tenterhooks over here. Another great chapter.The book Severus had not noticed before in the Restricted Section despite no texts being added since his time at Hogwarts, made me wonder. Is someone laying out clues for them? But who? I wonder how long until they admit they are not playing the lovers, but are lovers?

The mystery deepens.  I am thoroughly enjoying this.  The crack tema of Severus and Hermione are terrific together, and I of course have enjoyed their increasingly involving cover story.  Maybe Umbridge can really get hers at the end of the story, and then this will be a perfect fic!
