Not every story has a happy ending. Written for lulabelle72 at hpcon_envy who asked for dress robes, fairy lights and an air of melancholy.

known as Coco; also bella, gildedglamour on LJ, etc.
i'm a great many things, including:
indian & burmese
a proud harpy
a little crazy
creative and lovable... most of the time!
always vanishing at inappropriate times thanks to that dreaded 'RL'
really bad at updating regularly
apparently 'elegant', probably really not.
i like writing, slytherin men, writing about slytherin men... oh and reviews too.
:]
REGARDING ALL THAT'S LEFT
In case you were wondering why it vanished off the face of the earth, not to worry. It's undergoing a significant bit of revision, but it'll be back eventually. It'll probably be under a different name, too, but the premise will largely be the same. Thanks to everyone who supported me through it; I just wanted to make a few changes but it'll be back, I promise.

And thank you for reading! :)
Wow, just wow! What a beautifully written and poignant tale. My heart tells me that perhaps Hermione will come back but sadly my head tells me she almost definitely won't ... :-)

Your heart can always hope :) I've been told I should write a whole story based on this and I've got to admit I'm tempted. Probably not happening, but in the story version they get together in the end!
With the warning I certainly didn't expect that. You did it brilliantly. After reading so much fictions, I'm glad I can still be surprised.

I'm glad to hear it, too. I have to admit, that last line really did come out of the blue. I'd written it but didn't feel like it had ended well so I decided to have a think about and and go have my lunch. As I was eating I thought of that line and immediately added it. I guess it sort of drove the whole thing home for me and I imagine it does for everyone else too, even if it was a bit of a shocker.

So goddamn beautiful. Yes, heartwrenching, but the beauty of it...
Bravo.
Author's Response: :) Thanks so much dearest. I'm really really glad you like it.
I read this days ago on your LJ site on lulabelle72's rec. It is breathtakingly beautiful, heartbreakingly sad. (Did I just make up an adverb?) I love it.

Thank you! Haha I've been saying that one for years, I don't think so :P Or maybe it just didn't officially exist til now. I'm glad you like it :)
