Sounds like deliberate written seduction by Hermione Granger. She must have known it was going to be marked by him.  With that many detentions, I'm guessing they were pleasurable detentions.  Clever girl. 

Good lord, I'm glad no one esle read  her essay!  naughtly, girl getting all those detentions. To think she used to be such a good girl. Well, I hope she was good at it!

So Snape assigned 4 inch essays and got back a stack of 40 inch essays?

I'm sure Hermione succeeded in each everyone of the detentions. On second thoughts, that didn't sound so much as Hermione Granger, but rather as Romilda Vane. It might be helpful to bring up some of the secondary characters once in a while.
