Good ending, but I am surprised that there wasn't more problems with Victor. People that controlling and abusive usually don't let go that easily.

This was a very touching story. It's hard to read about suffering, and to talk about abuse, but you've captured it quite nicely. I love Severus' emotion in this! Lovely as always!

Oh finally Hermione chooses what is best for her and stands up for herself! I knew she could do it. Viktor is a terrible brute, and it's such a relief she is finally free of him. Great little story! Any chance of a continuation?

OMG! I hope Severus' connection to Hermione will allow him to know what she has just experienced at the hands of her brutal husband. How can she not leave Viktor? Severus will protect her, and he will cherish her. As bad as Viktor thinks he is, he would not stand a chance against Severus.This situation is too awful to continue. Something must change, but will Hermione have the strength to tell Severus that she is ready to go home?Another fine chapter!Beth

Will Hermione listen to what Severus has to say? How will she react to knowing that he thinks enough of her to make this long trip to "save her from herself?" I hope all will go well, but somehow I don't think one visit will do more than plant the seed... but even that is a beginning.Good chapter.Beth

Oh, please, Hermione can't leave Britain. Surely Severus can make her see how terrible it would be to throw away all of her dreams because her husband can't make his own dreams a reality. Moving to America will not change Victor Krum, but it will surely change Hermione!Nice start!Beth

I'm surprised Snape let her leave. But short of holding her against her will, I guess there isn't a lot he can do. I'm glad you are working with this subject matter. I think it is a lot more common than people realize and there is a tendency to dismiss a controlling boyfriend's behavior as something that is imagined.
