Hermione has less than a week to solve the one thing stopping her from receiving her inheritance – her marital status. Severus who has become a good friend, does his best to stand by the side, only offering support, but in the end he's there to rescue her in more ways than one.

I really like this first chapter. The friendship that is already there between Severus and Hermione is nice, and sets the stage for more.... I hope! *wink wink*I'm off to chapter two!Beth

Hermione is clueless. She needs to tell those boys to butt out and then find herself a real man not a boy. Oh wait she has one, she just can't see the obvious. Great chapter....look forward to more.

Friends, can't hex them into toads no matter how deserving. Sounds like Ron would volunteer to marry Hermione as he's so concerned for her. ~yuck~
Hermione's appeal to Severus was very Slytherin of her. I'm enjoying it.

Brilliant update, I loved that she told Harry and Ron (especially Ron) to butt out of her business, not to mention the ideas they get by the way she was dressed:-)). I hope you will let her be that strong and have such limits for what they (Harry and Ron) are allowed to do with regards to interfering with her personal life. I look forward to read more!

This is a wonderful EWE! The only thing that rubbed me wrong is that she was coerced into marriage over a vacation home. i know it may have been sentimental but hg isn't one to kowtow to someones demands she would stand firm against unless it was for something a bit stronger. that's just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions, but all in all a great short story. Bravo.
Why does he not call her by first name? Is he that formal if they have such a strong friendship? That seems a little odd but I really like the pretext to this.
