Again, I do have some difficulties picturing this couple in exactly this way, but if I could believe it working, I would believe you! Lovely little story.
PS: what exactly does "Tannenbalm" refer to? I'm afraid I don't get the hint you intended.
Author's Response: I have the pairing requested quite a bit for giftlets - I can see it, but it's awkward (of course, both of them are awkward!)... outcasts find each other, after all.
I had wondered whether the title would be an issue rather after the fact - instead of just the carol O Tannenbaum, the tree itself represents a balm for them both - hence...

i generally find percy unappealing, but you are proving something i always suspected - i could ship just about anyone with snape. i had no trouble picturing and buying into your scenario here. i particularly enjoyed the last several paragraphs, starting with the scents. :)

Yeah, I find that there are relatively few pairings with Snape I cannot tolerate at all, and although I certianly have my favorites... if he's involved I'm usually willing to give it a shot. LOL I find Percy very curious, and I think their relative outcast shared state, not to mention their bookishness, could prove a connection point that would allow a relationship to grow. (And I'm asked for this pairing a lot!) Thank you for the feedback on the last few 'graphs - I really appreciate knowing what really worked for you! :D
