Reviews for Know-it-All and the Traitor
Haha, love the moral of the story, but if Snape agreed to this plan, wouldn't his unbreakable vow to Narcissa have killed him? Just curious. ;) otherwise I'm all for the little ferret getting what's coming to him lol.
That was just pure awesomeness.
Very Slytherin. Snape would approve.
Love the Moral, Aesop. Nice.
bitter moral. quite cynical.what is more, they have to live in hiding. what life is this.even though they have each other now for a lifetime. and no voldemort demon to harm them anymore.but you told it as a fairy tale. and fairytales are brutal in many ways. so why not this here, too?One thing I must definitely admit : YES, you did find a very original way of letting him survive the snake-bite. very unique!thank you for sharing!

I own a book (and I'm going to run upstairs and get the title right now): Ugh. I couldn't find it. I think my oldest absconded with it. It was stories the way Grimm intended them to be told. On the other side of the coin, I have a book of "Politically Correct Bedtime Stories", which is hilarious, by the way. I prefer the former.Funny. I am a very cynical person with a strange sense of humor only a few appreciate (I get odd stares from the rest). It comes out in the writing, it does.

hey, thank you for the thorough reply and the hunt for the book. I think I agree with you. political correct stories can be nothing but boring. Did you ever wonder why you were sorted into Slytherin house? your sens of humor may be called strange, but it also is pepper in the soup of the ever so gentle stories.
Oh, I like this! Very novel style for you, but you pulled it off extremely well! Sorry I'm late in reading; didn't dare read while I was writing my own, lol. But it's done now, so the first thing I did was rush here and read your entry. *fangurls you*

Oooh, you're done? I'm going to go see if you've posted. *rubs hands together*

Good story, and an interesting idea for his survival. Though morally, I can't honestly agree, whatever he had done...
Author's Response: Yeah, I can see that point. I myself don't agree with the death penalty. I'd rather whomever perpetrated a crime rot in a cell their entire life, because death is an easy way out.
*happily ever after* Yeah!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
And don't we all love the happily ever after stories. Just was telling my kids the other day how life isn't all happily ever after like in Cinderella. (I tear apart Cinderella when they watch it and ask a whole bunch of annoying questions. They love me. They have to.)
Although it is completely unrealistic (Severus would never have allowed such thing), it is a very nice idea!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Ach, Severus was fed up. Had it. "Bugger the whole thing!" he told me in my ear. "Never wanted to get involved with all this crap anyway!" he ranted as he paced the floor. "It's that JK Rowling who made me into this bad character who needed to pay for past wrongs, and haven't I been paying for years and years? About time I get my just desserts!" he screamed as he slammed the door and went outside for a smoke. Wait. He smokes?
And a very fine job you did, too! That would explain the death scene with the incomprehensible aimless, juiceless dialog, the lack of preparedness, the lack of will to live and complete passivity.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Yes, it would, now wouldn't it. See? I even helped to fill some of those empty plot holes. *pats self on back* LOL *tee hee*
Great story. And Nagini couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
*lol* Nagini couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Okay, I'm on the floor now. Too true.
take THAT jkr! beautiful tale. thanks so much!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Yeah! Kill the right dude next time! :)
I am totally impressed! I could no more come up with a story that fast than I could fly to the moon! The solution that Hermione came up with, and Severus agreed to, was brilliant!!! Never seen that one before. I like a woman who knows what she wants and goes after it... errr... him!And not one "that" in the story. (I didn't know that one could do that.)Well done, NNS. Beth
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
I even forced myself to take them out of the author's note, though at first I was making an excuse that I could use them there. Glad you haven't seen that scenario before. Don't know how it occurred to me, just happened.
That tale gave me goose bumps
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
*tee hee* Good. I like that.
Really? I thought the moral of the story was, "Even in the midst of war, the smart woman makes time for sexy time." Alternatively, "Payback's a bitch, and so is a woman insulted one too many times by poncey brats."This was wonderful! Thanks for writing!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Oooh, a story with many morals. Even better!
Nice, and it did have a 'fairy tale' feel to it.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Good. I'm not used to writing fairy tales at all. (It's probably not going to happen again.)
That's really different from your usual style, but very pleasant nonehteless. And the moral will become my new mantra. ;)
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Heck, I live by it. Just been waiting to incorporate it somehow into a fic.
Wow! That was a really neat look at an alternate choice Hermione could have made. :D
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
And Severus lives and everything in the world is perfect once more. *whew*
Oh sneaky, I like it!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Sneaky!Hermione is pretty interesting, isn't she? ;)
Sweet! I loved your solution to this. I can't say I've ever read such a possibility. I feel just a smidgen sorry for Draco... but not much.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Well JKR could have gotten rid of Draco instead. Less of the fandom would have been upset by it than of Severus getting knocked off, I think.
I think Hermione has been hanging around with Dumbledore for way too long! Quite an ethereal feel to the whole story! And no sex. My goodness, what is the world coming to? :P
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Most definitely an end, I'd say. *smirk* You can't have sex in a fairy tale. Not the ones you want to tell kids anyway. Did you see the rating? I couldn't even put a T rating on it ... I thought and thought, but no, I couldn't think of a reason.
Hermione as the wonderfully clever mastermind. Very interesting. =]
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
*snicker* Isn't she, though?
that was a brilliant response to the prompt. i love your slightly twisted fairy tale. and your author's note sums up neatly why i will most likely sit this one out - i haven't come up with a single bloody idea that is even remotely original on this particular subject.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
And I still have no idea if mine was really original, but at least it wasn't what I'd been reading lately. About 80% all have the same theory.
Wow! Beautifully written! I just loved it.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
Thank you! It's nice to see that my 'differently styled' stories are liked too.
Response from luvsev (Reviewer)
You are most welcome. I like seeing a fellow author experiment with different styles as it shows off a true love for language.
Brilliant moral of the story. I just love it!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Know-it-All and the Traitor)
*tee hee* I thought I'd add a bit of my smart-arsishness into it.
