She knew not the time and felt not the cold. She could feel nothing but the icy case that seemed to enclose her heart... Her dreams and life seeped away, claimed by the abyss of darkness that stole all she held dear. This is her story. HGSS, disregard HBP and DH.

Reviews for Winter's Sweet Relief
Beautifully written. I had tears in my eyes by the time I had finished reading this.
Oh, how horribly sad. Well done, but a tissue warning should definately be in affect here!
Response from DarkFate (Author of Winter's Sweet Relief)
Thank you for the wonderful review! I am very happy to know that this story was appreciated. I didn't realize it was so sad, sorry!
this was well written, i do not know whether to be sad she is dead or happy she is with her family. I am pretty sure that was your intention though.
Response from DarkFate (Author of Winter's Sweet Relief)
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It's always nice to hear how the story came across to a reader. In all honesty, I can't decide if I'm happy about her dying or not either... in some ways I feel it is fitting, but at the same time, it seems like such a terrible end. Thank you for reading though :)
sad and beautifully written. thank you

Thank you for the lovely review! I am very pleased to know that you appreciated and enjoyed this story, as I very much enjoyed writing it. :)
This is awfully horrible. *wipe tears* I can't even try to imagine what she must have felt in that cell, watching her baby being tortured, and then killed in front of her very eyes. It's been a long time since I've read something so sad and terrible , but you mastered it brilliantly. *fetch a tissue, actually a box of them*.
Response from DarkFate (Author of Winter's Sweet Relief)
Aww thank you! I am so glad that you feel as though the story came across well, I didn't want it to be too cliched. I'm sorry it was so sad though, hope you didn't need too many tissues!! :)
It was very sad, but right in the end. She found peace.
Response from DarkFate (Author of Winter's Sweet Relief)
Thank you very much for reviewing, I am glad you enjoyed this story. I do believe she found peace in her death, a sense of peace that she could not attain in life. thanks again!
Typically, I don't condone suicide. Here, I think Iwould do just as she's done. Losing a child would be worse torture than anything else. Then to lose her love. Very beautiful, and feeling. I am glad you gave her peace in the end. She would most definitely deserve it. Excellent.
Response from DarkFate (Author of Winter's Sweet Relief)
thank you for such a thoughtful and lovely review. I do believe that the worst torture would be to lose a child, and to lose all her hopes for the future would be simply crushing. I too would never condone suicide, but I believe that there are those who have suffered to greatly. In Hermione's circumstance I don't even view it as suicide per se, it is more her reaching the end of journey. Thank you once again, for taking the time to review :)
Those who are involved in war give up so much. Hermione has been forced to give up too much. Hopefully, she can find peace in death.
Response from DarkFate (Author of Winter's Sweet Relief)
Thank you very much for reviewing! I agree, people involved in war give up nearly everything they have, be it material or otherwise. I feel as though Hermione was left being emotionally drained to the point where she had nothing left to give, in her case perhaps death is her only chance for solace. thanks again for reviewing :)
wow, I have chills and tears. very powerful. thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It is always wonderful to hear that my readers are enjoying and appreciating my stories. Thank you again for taking the time to review :)
Very well written, my dear, though very sad. I'm glad you didn't get too detailed about her time with Eva in captivity. How horrible, the thought of a child being treated so.
Response from DarkFate (Author of Winter's Sweet Relief)
Yes, I have to admit, this is one of my darker fics. I don't enjoy writing horrible things, I feel like describing them in such detail is grotesque and unneccesary. However, I know that such things do occur, so I tried to bring it to light without being vulgar.I'm glad you liked this one too! Oddly, this story came from inspiration by music video (Nightwish - Nemo; if you were wondering)thanks again!-DF
How sad this is, but at least she is at peace and finally reunited with her husband and child.
Beth
This may be really stalker-like in words, but I love you. You have managed to give him some dignity, and leave her heartbroken, and in love.
Looking forward to hearing more of you,
V.S.
