Hermione went red with rage as every memory of being called an ‘insufferable know-it-all' replayed itself. “How. Dare. You. You horrible, horrible...” She stood up, shaking. “... HORRIBLE man!”

Snape fancier, wanton researcher of the arcane and sublime, and snark mistress.
Blanket disclaimer: the Potterverse was created by J.K. Rowling -- I just like to play with her toys.

You aren't alone in that sentiment.

A wonderfully mournful piece. I like what you said in another review: him speaking before he thinks and her acting before she thiinks. It's very true and something they would have to work on in order to be a healthy couple. Hopefully he'll go after her and start the process. :D

Ball is in his court now, to be sure. I think their respective emotional immaturities (his externally-forced and a side-effect of bookishness, hers both age-related and as a side-effect of in-your-face swottage) could be resolved, and they could grow together with the help of the other. The potential is there, IMO. :) Thank you!
how refreshing to see characterization that doesn't show polished and perfect individuals - of course I am still doopey enough to want to say, "Please, oh please, don't let it end that way!" Thanks for sharing

Thank you! :) I prefer to read 'real' characters, myself!
I'm so glad there is a next. I only hope he will go hunting her and ... apologize of course :D

Oops forget the first line. Tiny little mistake of copy paste. Sorry

He will if he can get past his pride - but that's always the question with him, eh?
Whoops. Think first, then speak.

He speaks before he thinks, she acts before she thinks - interesting, for such intelligent people...
Ohhhh, poor thing.
Response from juniperus (Author of To Be Right)
Some lessons are harder than others. For both of them...
*sniffles* They're both rather bull-headed, aren't they?
Response from juniperus (Author of To Be Right)
Oh yes they are - and neither seems to learn from mistakes with any ease, alas... :) Thank you!
Oh! Something tells me they'll work it out.
Response from juniperus (Author of To Be Right)
I like to hope so, myself... they both need a little more maturing in some ways, eh? Thank you for your review!
Oh dear. That was a bit of an oopsie, on both sides.
Response from juniperus (Author of To Be Right)
Oh yes, it certainly was! Thank you for your review!
What does happen when two irresistable forces meet? Really good look at the not-so-rosy side of relationships.

Thank you! It takes so little to make a situation go utterly pear-shaped, especially when emotions are involved...

Oh dear, oh dear, what a mess due to such a small thing... It was very funny at first, with the "swollen" speach, though it is not funny at all. Great little story!
Author's Response: Thank you! Two people, saying words in English, neither speaking the other's language...
