Reviews for Snape's Profound Question
Blue Apples! only Severus would sit, wishing for Blue Apples.
That is something! If I get to make a wish about the next chapter of this, it would be a moment a year or more in the future, incorporating some of the other suggestions now that Hermione is a little older. One of my siblings used to use 'blue apple' body wash. The family unanimously agreed that it really did smell just like a blue apple would.Hope you keep up the inspiration.

Thank you! :D Well, there is another chapter coming soon, but I can't say it's when Hermione is older. But I hope you find it amusing just the same. And see, that's the funny thing! If there can be a blue apple body wash, then why not a blue apple? :PAnyways, I'm happy you enjoyed it.
Interesting. I love the concept of blue apples...cute idea. Keep up the good work. ~Jen

Thanks. I'm happy you found it interesting. :)
Teehehe he has a wand - turn it blue! but that wouldn't exactly be the same. Cute that Hermione caught the look too.
Response from cflower (Author of Snape's Profound Question)
Exactly, it wouldn't truly be the same. :D I'm happy you liked it.
I think this is a lovely beginning, and I for one, would be thrilled if you decided to continue. It is brilliant, and something that very often happens: when someone has to experience horrors on a regular basis, their thoughts tend to dwell on 'safer' subjects. It happens rather often in Psychology.

It's great to get feedback about continuing it. Also, I really like the point you bring up about why Snape is focusing on the blue apple subject. I think it would be a good aspect to continue with. I have another story right now that I'm trying to update, but I'm finding this story oddly important to continue. :D Thank you for your thoughtful review.
A blue apple? Why not?
Response from cflower (Author of Snape's Profound Question)
"laughs" Indeed. Thanks for reviewing!
hmm.. yes, continuing this one could be rather nice indeed.
Response from cflower (Author of Snape's Profound Question)
Thanks. :-) I think I would like to continue. Some of these reviews have even helped with the inspiration. I tend to be a bit slow sometimes with writing for various reasons (life...), but it's in my head to continue.
Whoops! That should be pomology -- the study of fruit cultivation. My bad ...
Response from cflower (Author of Snape's Profound Question)
Gottcha! :P
Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore's Dilemma, In Defense of Food, and The Botany of Desire, wrote in Botany of the USDA-ARS Plant Genetic Resources Unit in Lake Geneva, New York, which houses over 2,500 varieties of apple trees. Pollan wrote:
"The sheer profusion of qualities that Americans discovered in the apple during its seedling heyday is something to marvel at ... Here were yellow apples, green apples, spotted apples, russet apples, striped apples, purple apples, even a near-blue apple." (Emphasis mine)
I think there should be some grafting and cross-breeding in SS's and HG's near future, yes? Maybe a few consultations with Pomona Sprout (the study of the apple is called pomonology), and a few phone calls to the US Dept of Agriculture ... and who knows? "Near blue" might become "vivid turquoise," or "brilliant lapis," or even "icy cerulean!"
Just think about it, will you? Such an intriguing beginning deserves to proceed apace ...

Wow! This would mean intense research. Which, I'll be honest, makes me nervous cause I never thought of spending so much time on it. But... you have given me some honest inspiration in how to continue. :D And it would also fit into one of the aspects of the story. Natural. And that quote is perfect. I love how it says "near-blue apple" which means that there is room for the making of a true-blue apple. It will take me some time, with life and other stuff, but this could be challenging in a fun way. Definitely. I want to use that quote, and I'll credit you for providing it! Thank you for such an awesome review. :D
Blue... my favorite color also. Now, a blue apple, I'm not too sure about. But what's even more disturbing is Hermione wanting to understand Severus Snape! Nice little tale.

Thanks so much for reviewing! :) It would be fun to continue and, like I've said in other reviews, there is inspiration for future endeavors. I'm happy you liked it.
This is an interesting chapter, and I'd love to see where you would take it with further chapters. I'll keep my eyes open.Beth
Response from cflower (Author of Snape's Profound Question)
Do keep your eyes open. :P I wanted it to be able to stand alone, but there is definitely some inspiration for continuing (in the future). Thanks for the supportive review.
Hmmm, true, why no blue apples??? Spell it blue! Get Sprout to breed some! A very interesting little piece!!!!

I'm really curious avout what you could think of to continue the story.

The reviews have actually given some inspiration. :D I wanted the piece to be able to stand alone, but with some research it could be a good challenge to continue in the future. Thank you very much for reviewing.
