Absolutely lovely- what a great concept and details! 

I so rarely comment on stories, but I felt compelled to write a review. This was so incredibly well-written - the imagery, the emotions brought out in the characters, everything - that I was blown away. Brava! I sincerely hope you consider writing your own novels, and if you do, please let me know because I will be the first to buy anything you write.

Okay, you two, you have rendered me completely and utterly speechless. I have sat here for the last ten minutes, hardly knowing what to say.First, to the story. It is absolutely bloody delicious. I love it - I completely love it. It is one of the most awesome one-shots I have ever read, and I enjoyed every single word of it. The language is perfect, the pictures evoked just beautiful, and as for the hot ending! Phew! I presumed as I read that she sent him the letters every year on the anniversary of the battle, but to find out in the end it was his birthday just completely rocked!

And how sad that her parents didn't remember their daughter! How utterly tragic. You had tears in my eyes at that bit, and it was so clever! Giving her such a sad reason to need to heal and be saved, just like Severus.

The kiss was hot and moving and thoroughly enjoyable, and you ended it in the perfect spot. And do you know what? You two should write together again. You completely rock.

And finally, the fact that you wrote this for my birthday? I can hardly find words to express my gratitude. I am incredibly touched. I don't know WHAT I have done to deserve such amazing friends. Falling in love via letters---I loved that idea when I first read it, in a biography of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and I love it now in your story of Severus and Hermione.  This was SO perfectly sweet!  I'm so grateful Little Beloved had a birthday, in that it inspired what will definitely become "A Beloved Tale" among my favorites!

Mmmmm. A Snape who uses kisses rather than words. Sign me up!I loved the story, but I especially enjoyed when his tracking spell directed him "to the birthplace of the owl that had delivered the letter." Oh, the hissing and swearing that must have accompanied that spell!
