Hugo intervenes. Set in the ‘Al and Scorp Show’ universe, circa fifth year—fits both the Gen and Slash story arcs.

Mostly Harmless! Though I have to admit, I'm even stranger than I appear. ;-) There's a pile of unbeta'd stuff on my LJ (dracfic) if you're interested in Raw, Untamed, fanfic.
Believe it or not, "How Argus Filch Got Wild, Got Laid, and Got His Magic" has been rec'ed by Know It Alls! It's true! They gave me this pretty lil' ribbon and everything! And in March 2007, they saw fit to likewise reccommend (as an antidote to angst) the story that started it all, 'Courtesy of Your Fairy God-Jarvey'--just in time for the first anniversary of that story's posting! *hugs Harm*
(I also have to admit that 'mostly harmless' may not be the most apt description of a member of the Mad Chatters...)
Finally, I just have to say... Storyville. If you were there, you know what I mean.Reviews for Seeing His Way Clear
That was too cute.

I am really becoming fond of Hugo. No fair, author! I had decided long ago to never like him. Then you go and make him all Ravenclaw and sensible and bookish and caring about his friends... dang it.
And since I prefer the "other" arc, I'll just pretend that Scorp is upset about the attention from the girls because... it's attention from girls. ;)
Author's Response: Hugo surprised the heck out of me. He showed up at the door one day, book in hand and fiddling with his tie as if he wasn't certain if he was allowed in. How could I resist?
(Truth to tell, it's Rose who's the difficult one in that branch of the family. All of Dad's fire and all of Mum's bossiness. *shudder*)
It is very, very legitimate to assume that Scorpius is upset with attention from girls for the sake of what it is! (The main reason Al isn't present in person in this story--so that it can just as easily fit both arcs. )
Thank you for the review!
Witches make passes at wizards with glasses! :)

Much to Scorpius' chagrin! (Poor dear!)

I wish I could convince him to stick around for another fic, but he insists that he has studying to do. :)I'll have to see if I can drag Al's nose out of a book for something soon, though!

LOL LOL LOLWhere do you come up with these things? I wish I could borrow that brain of yours sometimes. It seems like a very fun place to be. :-)Poor Scorpius, ogled by masses of girls. *smirk*

It seems like a very fun place to be.It's mainly fun on Thursdays and Fridays. It can be glum-to-downright-harrowing in there on Tuesdays, and it pretty much takes Saturday off. Thanks very kindly for the review!

I guess Hugo did inherit some of his father after all!

LOL He certainly has no trace of a 'slash arc!'
