Hermione is out hunting down a lead on a Horcrux and runs across her old Potions master. This was written as a one shot for the SS/HG Exchange during their Summer 2007 exchange. It is canon compliant through HBP.

I'd actually love to see what you'd write if you added to this; I quite liked it and personally, I reject cannon saying he died; I firmly believe that he is alive and happily in hiding myself, and no one will ever disabuse me of that notion! :)

I'm so terribly sorry it's taken me this long to respond. I'll need to check the area where it's supposed to tell me there's been a new review left. Thank you so much, but it's been such a long time since this was written, that I don't see any additional being added. I'm happy with it as it is.
I'm not sure which leaves me sadder: Snape's only source of inspiration or your loss of it in the wake of Book 7. Although you never carried on this story, I'm glad you found the inspiration to write more.

Since when has book seven ever stopped us from finishing our dreams?Forget JKR's implied ending for Snape. There are always loop holes. Choose one and embrace it !Come back and finish your dream !

Promising start, too sad you won't contine. I was rather puzzeld at first, though, as you didn't give any warnings that your story is not DH-compliant. I'm absolutely with you, though: I want him alive and able to find hope.

It was written before DH was released and at that time I still had a little hope JKR wasn't going to do what she did. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this. Too bad you won't be continuing it. You should do like the rest of us SS/HG fans and ignore most of DH, especially the epilogue.
