First person is something rarely seen in stories, and you've done a great job with realistically conveying Severus' thoughts and emotions. I'm curious - what was the occaision for his reminiscence?

I am glad that you liked my story. This was my first time ever writing in the first person from a man's point of view; it was a rather interesting experience. The occasion for Severus' reminiscence is that he was looking at his sleeping wife and son, and he thought that if he had not returned, he would not have what he does. I know that I did not add that moment, but I figured that since you asked, I would tell you. Thanks once again for reading and reviewing my story, it means a lot to me!

Very beautiful! I'm not usually a fan of 1st person but it really works here. You really feel all his pain and joy. Excellently done.

Thank you for reviewing! JKR hurt a lot of us by leaving Severus to that fateful bite. Personally, I was angry at her for making him suffer so much, he deserved better than he got. By writing this story, I gave him the ending that I wanted to see. I am delighted that you thought it was beautiful.

Prof M McGonagall

There is a lot that is good in this story. You write some very nice descriptive details. You have some very nice imagery in your writing. I really thought your description of the October when Lily died had some lovely imagery. I wish that your story wasn't telling us so much, though. More dialogue in the story would probably have helped with that and let us connect more emotionally with the characters. Of course, this would also have made the story longer. You probably would have had to divide it into chapters at that point. I think you could improve this further by fleshing it out a bit more and giving us more of the details of what happened rather than just telling us what happened.

That was a very touching story. It also had a whole lot more meaning since you wrote it from Severus POV. Wonderful job. Your writing portrayed his emotions very well and I only noticed maybe one typo. Again, fantastic job!~Jen
