Reviews for Snape's Bed
I enjoyed the non traditional POV! I am glad Severus and the bed found their happy ending.
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
I think you are the first who realises how much not only Snape, but the bed suffered as well. And that now they both are truly happy ;-)Thanks for reviewing!

Who would have thought that a bed could have such a story to tell! I am glad you told it, thank you.

I just wrote it down ;-) The bed had a quite loud and insistant voice, not allowing me to write anything else. Well, it's magic...

Wow. This was not what I expected when I started the story, but what a great tale with twists and turns. I really like the background and the grandfather element. Very well done!
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
Thank you! I sort of worked my own dad into this story, him being a wonderful grandfather to my child. Out of curiosity - what did you expect? And thanks for reviewing, of course!
Response from ozarkmoon (Reviewer)
After considering the rating, I probably expected something along the lines of the middle of the story when he is doing three jobs, and possibly the emptiness when he was finally gone. But there was so much more and I really enjoyed it.

I love this. It's very touching, and I'm glad the bed cared so deeply about Severus that it brought him back to life!
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
I wanted this story as close to canon as possible, and considered it necessary that at least someone - or something - cares for him. He earnes it!

This is an amazing story! I loved it. And I know how an unexpected character just can't keep quiet and has to set things straight.Wonderful!
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
Thank you so very much - the bed's voice was indeed strong and more or less guided my fingers :-)

That was amazing. Seriously. It reminded me of 'The Giving Tree', a childhood favorite of mine. I loved this. It brought tears to my eyes. Lovely.
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
Will definitely check out The Giving Tree. And many thanks for liking the story and reviewing it.

What a striking approach, and it's executed so well. It's whimsical, but with so much heart. The scene after Snape is brought back from the Shrieking Shack is simply beautiful.

Thank you so much! I didn't expect that many reviews for this story, I must admit. Because it is strange and therefore, hugs and thank you for reading and liking it!

Absolutely stunning, gorgeous, and heartfelt. I loved every word. The writing was graceful and the voice perfect. You are surely to be commended for following the bed's lead, as it were, to tell this story.
I wonder if I know who you are, mystery author! Perhaps I do... We shall see!
I'll definitely remember this one when voting comes around. Thank you for this.
Author's Response: Honestly, the bed nagged me until the story was online *grins*
Thanks for the lovely words. And let me know if you were right, knowing who I am ;-)

Your description of the bed bringing him back to life, almost unwittingly, was perfect. Lovely idea!
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
Thank you! If you ever read "Fool's Fate" by Robin Hobb you know where I nicked an idea or two. If you don't know it, check it out, it's worth it.Thanks again for reviewing!
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
Actually it reminded more of her next series, in Forest Mage, where the trees take the bodies when he (can't remember the name) is the the grave digger.
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
His name is Nevarre (sorry if misspelled), and I know what you mean. But I had in mind the scene when Fitz brings back the Fool, forcing his body to work again through the link they have. And you know now where my penname comes from *g*
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
LOL, I do indeed. ;)

This was so delightfully unique. There have been so many stories in HP fanfic told from the point of view of inhuman characters, and stories featuring inanimate objects of great importance, but this is the only story I've read told by an inanimate and inhuman object ... and you have made that object decidedly animated, and in its capacity to love and shelter, extraordinarily human. This was a real triumph! Thanks for writing!
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
Thanks - I have goosebumps on my arms ;-) Such a very nice and lovely review is truly the reason why I began writing in the first place. Thanks for taking the time to let me know you like the bed's story. And for telling me that there are not dozens of other stories like this arround *g*

That was really cool. I enjoyed it, and the point of view was amazingly refreshing.

this is truly a wonderful, very moving story. i loved how the bed was there to bear witness to the events of his life, and to love and care for him when no one else did. i'm really glad that the bed insisted that you tell its true story instead of the one you thought you were going to write!
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
Believe me, the bed nagged me endlessly until I have told the story propperly :-)I thought even Snape needs someone to care for him. I considered a bed not the worst thing to do so...Thanks so much for reviewing!

Amazing. Can't begin to describe how interesting, creative and captivating it is. Best idea of a non-human POV ever! You definitively got my vote! Bravo!

Thank you! I tried a wand and a cat, but read stories along that line before I had scribbled down the first word. So it became a bed in the end. Thanks for liking and reviewing!

Oh, that was so poignant. I cried like a baby through most of it. Wonderfully written and quite a unique way to correct JKR's horrid mistake of killing Severus Snape.
Response from chivalric (Author of Snape's Bed)
In my opinion she might have tried to kill him, but unsuccessfully. He survives. Definitely! Thanks for liking this version of his rescue and for your lovely review.

Very cool story -- would never have guessed a bed could do all that! And I cried, which I don't do all that often for stories. Thanks for your work!

Well... nor did I, to be honest. I was surprised of how this story turned out, really!I guess I like a few tears shed for the bed and its owner -) Thanks for reviewing!
