Do you believe in Vampires? Slayer does, but then, Slayer is, well, a Slayer, and there aren’t many of those around. He’s out for the night, looking for vampires to kill, but are those vampires real, or a figment of his imagination?

Reviews for Slayer
Nice, I love vampstorys! At first I thought it would be something in the lines of the Buffy series because of the title, but yours is really original. You have a nice way of pulling your audience in to the story. The first person writing style is normally not my thing but this time... You create a lovely dark depressing kind of athmosphere and the tension build up was very good.tThe twist at the end was unexpected but lovely nevertheless (my guess was that the vamp would be Snape in the end, but no! )Not a classical vampstory à la Rice or Stoker but a nice one indeed. Will there by any chance be a sequel?
I already let you know I loved this story, but now I will let you know why. (If anyone is reading this review before the story, you may want to skip over it because there will be spoilers.)First, I have to tell you that I wrote a vampire story, which I submitted to a couple anthologies but was rejected as they had seen several similar stories. I felt they were probably right, so it didn't bother me much. (The story is posted here, by the way, because I figured I may as well post it since I put time into it.) It did have me wondering what on earth they were expecting. But THIS story ... this was the perfect example of a vampire story that is different, a plot that hasn't been seen often, definitely original, and one that not only has readers on the edge of their seats but guessing and second-guessing. It was amazing!I love the way you have the reader very quickly sympathizing with him, thinking his wife wasn't very supportive or understanding enough. Then feeling, along with him, that it was best that she left. I am wondering when I began to gather that something was a little "off" with him ... it was a gradual thing, sort of sneaking up on me. It wasn't a sudden realization. (Brilliantly done.) When he was waiting for the vampire, I believed THIS was going to be the innocent he killed (actually, I was waiting for him to go have a snack from the refrigerator *lol*). But then, the tables were turned. Honestly, you could sell this story as a screenplay. If you know how to write screenplays, I'd suggest adapting it and trying to sell it. It would make an excellent movie.Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this story!

Thank you. This is my first effort at original fiction and it is good to finally get some feedback on it. I am working on a number of short stories all based around a group of characters and this is the first of them. I am so glad you like it.
