Oh, that is lovely! You've created a marvelous mood of exhaustion and despair as she travels away from her job to what one expects to be an equally boring, lifeless home. However, you've added the twist of who is waiting for her at home. The answer that makes everything not only bearable, but worthwhile!

Oh. . . My. . . Godric. This story is so beautiful and touching. So powerful. . . it really paints a picture. I can just see poor Hermione all bundled up, exhausted after a long tedious day at work, heading home completely pooped, asking herself why she does this. . . and then seeing Severus! I love the 'dead man walking' line. That, especially, struck deep with me.I feel so unworthy reading this amazingness. . . thank you.~Katie

lovely. you do a great job of describing that feeling we all have sometimes (i hope it's not just me!) when it can be hard to carry on, and then at what makes it all worthwhile. and in so few words! well done.

Well described, the bleakness of her journey, and arrival at what makes the journey worth while. Nice and concise, whilst being able to put an image into my head that runs true through the passage. Well done ;)
