very amusing. i break with the pack and admit i believe nicknames have their place and use them a lot, but certainly not "snookums" or its ilk. i also liked how you upper-cased the Voice, which certainly deserves it. ; )

I love how powerful referring to our couple as "The Snapes" is. I also love their reaction to the nicknames -- it makes me think of a part in a film called "Easter Parade" where Judy Garland and Fred Astaire sing a song about silly nicknames, and the images of their faces are exactly what I imagined. Anyways, good job!

I adore thinking of them as The Snapes! I don't think we hear it anywhere near enough, lol. :D

Snookums is a really bad name. Like all those people who call each other "baby". *cringes* Gah, that's awful. I'd much prefer my hubby to actually say my name rather than just assume that I am the one he is talking to.

Ironically, I'm actually a nickname girl - I barely call anyone I'm close to by their actual names. But snookums (and other nicknames you could just imagine Petunia saying) do make me cringe!

Oh, I do nicknames. But usually they are taunting nicknames. My best friend Barb is the Geriatric Cougar, friend Mike is called Ghetto, plus stand abbreviations like Amby for Amber and Jimes (spanish j, or "h" sound) for Jamie. But I can't handle those saccharin names.

Wow, that is very true. . . if I had Severus as my hubby, I wouldn't want to have him call me 'snookums' or some other abomination, either.
