The last paragraph doesn't sound like it bodes well for Severus.

I wouldn't have guessed that Severus would show that much restrant under those circs.  But Good on him!  there are rules about 'taking advantage' of drunken ladies.  She should be better pleased with him when she sobers up.  I hope.

He took an inconspicuous sip of his milk to hide the lower half of his face.That's so interesting, because Severus thinks it means Hermione really thinks Draco is an egotistical ass. Whereas, as a women, I think it means she's confident in Draco's friendship, at least, possibly MORE than his freindship.It sort of reminds me of the scene in DH where Severus is so happy that Lily calls James some name, that he is not listening to the more imporant thing she is telling him, about the bad people he hangs out,

Arrrrggghhhh.....  Levicorpus!  You are an evil author!  HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME???  A CLIFFIE???*sigh*I'm so glad to see you posting for this story again.  I've been in love with this wonderful tale since the first chapter.  It is full of humor and pathos, self-discovery and determination to change, and I adore the Hermione you've created and the slowly evolving Potions Master she had set her cap for.The backstory you gave us about what Severus had had to endure after the war and his hard work to become stronger was very well written.  I came away with a greater understanding of the way he warred with himself over whether or not he should allow himself to fall in love with his former student.  Now that she has "declared her intentions" where he is concerned, I look forward to the coming chapters, and can't wait to see where you will take us.This story is just wonderful!  Thank you.Beth
