“Oh my God! You’re dead! I saw you die.” Hermione’s face turned deathly white as she stared at the profile of the man she thought had died and left her alone to face the world without him. Time has started to run backward for our heroine, as we watch the story of her love affair with one Severus Snape play out from finish to start and start again. *Mostly DH compliant, but definitely EWE.
The idea for this odd fic comes from the Seinfeld episode, “The Apology.” The story runs backwards from the start of the episode when the group is attending a wedding in India, back to the beginning (or the very last scene of the episode) when the invitation to the wedding arrives in the mail, stuttering back randomly every few minutes as events are presented in reverse order.

I am amazed and enthralled with the Harry Potter universe, with the emphasis on Snape. HG/SS is my favorite ship (you have been warned). I like sci-fi ? Star Wars, Quantum Leap, Star Trek, and Ray Bradbury to name a few. Horror also catches my interest as in Stephen King. I am a married, mother of two teenagers, multiple pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, turtle), and I work way too many hours. The rest is window dressing and subject to change without notice. I am also on staff on a wonderful new site called Playwitch. Visit when you get a minute: WWW.Playwitch.net

Nice story told in a very interesting way. I loved it.
I really enjoyed this story, and I love the happier ending you gave Severus.
Awww. How sweet. I loved this cute little story, and the interesting format just made it better. Nice job!
Thanks for this lovely adoption of Seinfeld's episode. And it was clearly more satisfying to put the epilogue at the end. For my gusto, it could have been a little bit longer, they are going to 'all is just as usual' too quickly. You see, I'm only whining because I very much like your writing and could have read on and on ...
Wonderful and creative!!!! He was right bastard not to contact her, though. I'm surprised that in all of those years, he had never heard that Severus Snape was considered a hero in wizarding Britain. It's hard to believe that Lucius didn't know about or tell Severus he had been declared a national hero. France isn't that far from England. Malfoy obviously knew about Harry and Ginny's wedding. Also, getting letters from Hermione Granger must have given him some idea she was still single and not a Weasely. Men are so stupid. I'm sure Hermione will forgive him but she won't forget. At least he didn't leave her alone knowing she was struggling as a single mom. I do love the plot bunny that has Severus and Hermione meeting and falling in love while she was on the run and he was alone at Hogwarts. I have frequently tried to imagine how such a scenario could be worked out. Well done!
A sweet and love tale, thank you very much.
:) that was quite enjoyable, if I do say so myself. I haven't seen a lot of fics that take into account that horrible night in the shrieking shack... but this was definitely worth reading! :)
What a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome can't wait to see if they work things out will be waiting patiently!
Brava!!! Loved it!!!Missy
That was interesting to read, a little confusing considering the day I had at work, but I got through it ok, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice one.
Great story! I loved the rewind effect! And the epilogue was very satisfying. Thank you!GG
Great story
Wonderful story! I liked it so much. Thank you.
"The blush that colored her cheeks pleased him; maybe he wouldn’t need the full week after all."Awwwwww! With any luck he will win over both of them before the week is out. A very sweet story in an intriguing format. I really enjoyed jumping back by bits, although I agree that the epilogue should stay at the end. It makes the opening a major teaser and the ending all the more satisfying. Thanks for a lovely Saturday morning treat!
Great story, interesting and unique format. Well written of course. Sequel please!?
This was an excellent story. Loved the way it was written.

Great story, well told! At first, the reverse fashin irritated me quite a bit, but slowly, I realised it was necessary for the bow of the storyline.
i enjoyed this story very much. i liked your creative structuring - though i admit i sneaked a peak at the ending before i read through the whole thing - bad kitty! - but i was happy to see that there was the epilogue so it ended in the present. i just needed to know that it didn't really end where it began, if that makes any sense! anyway, i thought it was terribly sad but in character that severus let poor hermione believe he was dead for all those years, but at least it ended on a hopeful note.
That was very strange. It seemed a bit choppy, but not due to a fault with your writing, more due to the backwards presentation. Nice for something different, but I don't know that I'd want a steady diet of it. Congratulations, you've created the asparagus of stories.
I really enjoyed your story and the unusual format was great. Thanks.
oh I like this twist in the normal format. very nice!
It's funny you mentioned Seinfeld as the inspiration because that was exactly what I thought of when I started reading it.
This story was fantastic. I loved it...very cute.
Loved the original concept. It is easy to see Severus acting this way and leaving England - letting everyone think that he is dead. I enjoyed it. The story has more potential than just a one shot. You could have a story on how he wins back Hermione and his son - it would be a terrific read.
