[warning, some whining] you know, this is why i hate that a lot of readers don't rate stories properly. This story is absolutely top, but in the story-index it doesn't stand out all that much b/c some people have overrated other stories. I like this one WAY better then ladder btw, but maybe that's just b/c of the humor content.[trying to stop whining, it sounds like the anouncement witch... hem hem]Are the twins out in public? I would have thought Umbridge would have had them pinked first thing in office, but then i would have thought that about Hermione too. Is security on them and Lee thighter then on others? (Lee was subjected to the *black* quill in OotP) Don't they have access to Grimmauld place anymore? You're inspiring quite some dislike for pink in your readers. I was on bike in the city and i saw a pale-pink lampshade (probably for hanging in the bedroom) with handsized roses stitched on the top and bottom hems.... (((shudder)))Even my innocent books fall prey to this. Bridget Jones, quite a lot of socialist and feminist books and even Shakespeare whose dustcover was red but has faded over time. Not to speak of my girls things. As a mum i already had great dislike for pink. Is the cover of dirty dancing hot pink? I see that others have asked questions about the ##. Do please explain to me what; Tink Pink! means. I think it is something like; BE Positive? no?A regency challange story on Ashwinder has flowers as chapter titles, one of them was Pink, with a photo. Pink means also little finger and a young cow, at least in Dutch. Pink is roze, so pink roses are roze rozen. ;-)

The conflicted reaction to Miss Ellowby was very effective.  As someone who does needlework, I could sympathize with tears of frustration over a complicated bit gone wrong (though there is this thing called picking it out and starting over), but combined with the Proper Smile and the probability that her tears had as much fear as frustration in them ... ::shudders::

Listening to the twins complain about being dragged away from Extra Service was surreal for a bit (dear Gods had they been Pinked?) until finally Lee explained.   Nice touch with the Puking Pastilles.

The violation of Decree 49 was perfect, and the talks about compatibility promising. Hermione melted wonderfully. It's great that she is putting her plan to action. Fortunately, the timing is tight also for you and with the deadline of the Challenge tomorrow, the Pink Lord is coming down this weekend. *evil grin*But I don't understand one sentence:Who would have ever guessed at that time that Scrimgeour and the rest joining in would be a negative, eh?Does it mean that the high Ministry official joined the Order and died in the Battle? It would be logical, but my clumsy English comes up with vague explanations.

Excellent stuff--quirky and refreshing. 

I love this Snape. Playful but he's still Snape

The "proper witch" poster sounds like the wizarding world's version of Reese Witherspoon from "legally blonde."  the Pink Lord--Dread is she!!!  She's more sickeningly, cutely malevolent than Voldy, LOL!!    This is a brilliant & darkly funny story concept.    And "Back in black"--why it's ac/dc, of course (even though I'm aging myself). 

I love this story! It's truly amazing! The 1984 allusions are spot on (two minutes shake=two minutes hate, etc.). Well done! It's much more humourous than Orwell's book, I can assure you.  I can't wait to find out what Hermione's plan is, and I hope they take down the Pink Lord soon. I can only hope that she succeeds where Winston failed, but with BIB, how can they go wrong? 

Oh no, an evil cliffy! I'm glad this story is going as quickly as it is, I'd hate to wait for weeks or months to find out this plan!

Did you know there's a plant called a 'pink,' here in the U.S.?? It grows in large bunches of tight little bright pink flowers. In PA it's ubiquitous. ugh.

Another great chapter, I like the signs each character saw, and the depth you're putting into each as well. I had a nightmare last night where I thought I lived in your pink world. It was truly horrible, though I guess it says something about your writng that it's real enough to cause worry in my sleep. I really wanna see Hermione's plan too. Hope the next chapter comes as quick as this one. g'nite

Are we only going to see the results of Hermione's plan? I can't wait to see what happens, even if the plan's kept secret.Beyond compatible, eh? Hermione's not the only one who wants to hear the rest of the explanation about the sign.
