Something odd indeed has happened in the life of Severus Snape. He is a happy, engaged man about to start a new life. Things are, for the first time in his life, perfect.
Or are they? What would happen if Severus Snape found out that his dream existence was nothing but a figment of his imagination? Would he chase after happiness?

A twenty-something years old woman who enjoys reading romance far too much (no doubt due to the lack of it in my own life). While struggling with the same problem Hermione does in so many of your stories - that of finding a man with above a mediocre minimum of brain capacity - I write stories with the hope of one day becoming good enough to earn something other than reviews for my efforts. (Not that I don’t love reviews - I adore them! - they just sadly don‘t pay my rent.) As the real world holds no Severus Snapes, I have plenty of time to practise...
To those of you still folowing my story Snape's Dream - I haven't abandoned it. In fact, I just sent chapter 7 to my beta and I'm typing away on chapter 8, so I'm back from my summer hiatus :)
Reviews for Snape's Dream
oh more more more. I am enjoying your story!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! Thank you :)
Another great chapter. Poor Severus, loved his plotting and thoughts on Ron. Let's hope, Hermione sees the light and dumps the red head for our illustrious Potions Master.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! Not too fond of the redhaired Weasley, Severus.
Oh dear, with planning comes trouble. I know assumingly it'll be a while before seeing her reaction to his scheming. Can't wait to see how it goes and what he comes up with!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! I imagined Severus would go about things like a true Slytherin - sneakily. :)
Snape with a plan. That's a formidable combination! :)
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Those sneaky Slytherins ... :)
I've just read through the first two chapters, and I reallylike this different angle you've written. I won't say "poorSeverus" yet, because in fact I'm sure he has a lot tolearn before he becomes a fit mate for anybody. But I hope he resolves to carry on the way he's started - it'salready a big improvement.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! Yes, he's got a great deal to learn. If all else goes wrong, though, Hermione is used to bullying people into learning :)
Poor Severus! I feel so sad for him.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
I've been mean to him, haven't I? Must make that up to him ... :)
Aww, poor Sev. :O
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
I feel sort of bad about this part of the story. Imagine seeing Hermione with Ron. Ew. :)
Well, dreams are never like real life, but I do think it interesting that he did have a 'non-perfect' Hermione in his. Hopefully she will come to her senses about Ron. Hopefully, he's got a bit of divination in him. :)
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you for the review! :) As for Hermione ... maybe Severus likes a chalenge?
A self-aware Snape is rather fun. Why IS Hermione kissing Ron?
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! As for Hermione - even inteligent people can be stupid ...
Is it real or is it Memorhex? ^_^Great job. I like the fact that he can be polite and then go home and think, I mean mope. ^_~
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! Yes, he's off home to mope. Though, if anyone asked, he'd never admit it. Stuborn man :)
Poor Severus, after he made the effort and all. I'm with him in wondering why his fantasy life wasn't perfect, and will be looking forward to finding out why; at least he has it to look to and guide his behaviour, which is something
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Yes, not a good start, is it? As to his fantacy ... it's marked by his personality. I don't think that he's able to even imagine perfection at this time in his life. Besides, I imagine he would grow very bored with perfection :) Thank you!
Why do I have a feeling that his time in his coma gave him this future possibility? Surely he realises that in his dream more time had passed between him healing and reuniting and beginning his "relationship" with Hermione. Or will things become more like de ja vu soon?Looking forward to seeing what he does next!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
He should realise that, but Severus is actually still a bit dazed by this dream of a near-perfect life - a dream he remembers more clearly than reality. Some things will bring a feeling of de ja vu, yes, but he's in for a few unpleasant surprices, too. Thank you :)
This is intriguing and interesting. I think I shall like this Severus quite well:)Brava for a great start:)Fizzabella
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! I'm so happy you like my idea of Severus :)
Excellent start. Poor Severus, is this the catalyst for him to seek out the life he wants?
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! Well, it's a kick in the right direction, definitely :)
Ahh, now his task is to make his 'dream' into his new reality. This should be a real challenge for Snape!
Is this going to be a fun or angsty story?
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
It's going to be difficult being Snape, yes. As for the story ... I don't think it's angsty, but there are one or two rainy clouds. Hopefully it will be fun, though!
This is an excellent beginning. I'm looking forward to the rest.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you :)
Great! Another dream shattered! Another chance to live the year over, perhaps? *snort* I hope so! This is a great beginning. Keep up the good work. ^_^
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Poor Snape ... I almost feel guilty. Almost :) Yes, he'll get a fresh start of the year. Can't promisse he'll like that, though. Thank you!
I'm eagerly looking forward to more. I really enjoyed this beginning and felt so sad for him by the end. It prompted me to go read the other two parts. I'm a bit confused with how it all fits together right now, but I'm sure you will work it all out for us. I really like your Severus. I find him quite endearing and I can totally understand why Hermione gets turned on by being called Mrs. Snape and wife.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked my version of Severus. A bit of a mess, the poor man, but who wouldn't be, after the life he's been living ...As for being turned on by being called wife by the man one loves ... definitely! Severus doesn't get it, but he's just as affected by her calling him 'husband'.
I am afraid you'll have to clarify that a little. What is meant to be the beginning and the beginning of what ?I have read the Hermione's Odd Behavior and the What Happened in the Bedroom. But is this Snape's dream suppose to be the prequel to those two? It is good but I am not sure I can see it as the beginning of those two. Please explain. Oh and how many chapters do you think we could expect from this story ? Just curious. Keep on writing.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Yes, this is meant to be the prequel, or, perhaps more accurately, the story behind those two little snapshots into Hermione and Severus' lives. My beta can't see it turning into the same story, either, but I can assure you that it will, eventually, become obvious. As to length ... I'm expecting to do more than ten chapters, but not twenty, unless something unforeseen happens along the way. :)
Aww, the end of that chapter was so sad I had tears in my eyes too. Poor Severus, I hope he grasps his new life with both hands and goes after what he thought he already had. Great first chapter, can't wait for more.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Aw. I feel bad about the next ... four or five chapters, now! But as sad as the start is, it does make Severus act. Glad you liked it. :) The next chapter is in the line.
You're off to a great start. Clever twist to the worst nightmare scenario. Looking forward to your updates.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! Worst nightmare, indeed! I'm nearly ashamed to say there's worse to come, for poor Severus ... Updates are on the way, though. :)
Ohh, my god, that is just too awful to contemplate! Poor Severus. Ohh poor thing. Jeez. I'm all teary thinking of it. Excellent start to a story, though. OMG. Someone help the poor man!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Oh my! Glad you liked the start. It's not a happy idea, is it? But it might get the hermit out of Severus. There's only one man who can help him now; himself. :)

Awwww. poor man! As untypical such a dream seems for Snape, it's awful to wake up and learn that it was just a dream and nothing more.
Author's Response: Poor man, indeed! At least he's alive, though. It's a very untypical dream, but I figured a man in a snake-venom induced coma could dream about just anything at all. Even bossy Gryffindors. :)
Lovely! A wonderful starting place for a story!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
Thank you! :)
what a lovely start. Happy to know you have already more chapters written. Looking forward to reading them
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of Snape's Dream)
So happy to hear you liked it! More chapters posted today. Two, even. :)
