I absolutely adore everything about the Potter fandom. I love being able to connect with people I've never met over the beautiful world J.K Rowling has created for all of us to play with. I've been working on my own fic, but am hesitant to post it. We'll see what happens!

Really wonderful inner monologue/thoughts; really feel his sense of futility about his feelings towards her. Poor Sev!
Really classic Snape & Hermione! You've really captured the moment to moment nuances between them; really feel his relentlessness and her anxiousness.
Enjoy your feel and detailedness from Hermione's point of view about things; really capture her first day/back to school energy!
Nice, nice touch! And Severus being forced to be civil with her... hope it's not just pretense for Dumbledore's sake!
LOL, they're quite funny in thinking how awful it would be if the other knew their feelings. I do think it won't be long the way things are progressing.
Glad they broke the ice and are now getting along. I know Severus wasn't wanting it, but I think it willl work out well for the both of them in the end.
ohhh no. Poor Ron! Really, I'm not a Ron fan at all, but this is just awful for him. LOL. I LOVE the story though.

Hahaha, I had your exact response writing this. I don't like the idea of him and Hermione together at all, but I still made myself feel bad for him. =) Thank you for loving my story!
Ooo, that's a provocative ending!
I love your characters intricate inner-monologues and nuances! And I love the detailed build up/angst - thank you!
So she now knows that he calls her by her first name in his dreams. Oh, boy! He is in deep dodo now! I'm sure she will not use this info against him. But it will nibble away at her subconscious, bringing up deeply buried feelings for him that she didn't even realize she had. Being a true Gryffindor, she will eventually confront him about how they both feel.I can hardly wait!

Hahahahaha, you're exactly right. Things certainly start to get interesting now! =)
LOL. Oh dear, what will Snape do now? I can't wait to find out.
Poor them!
Poor Snape. What a terrible situation for him. Hermione at least has the support of her friends. Snape has nobody.
Now that was an odd turn of events! And Snape holding the door? Perhaps there's more to his nastiness than first meets the eye...
AGGG! LOL. I want more! MORE!!! This is a fun story. I can't wait for the next bit.
love it! love it! keep it coming!!
Poor Snape.
I think maybe you meant to say assinine in this sentence instead of the underlined word."Ten points from Gryffindor, Mr. Weasley, for being unable to keep your anserine comments to yourself."I'm still intrigued.

I looked it up before using it. It, like asinine, means stupid or silly. It's just not used as much.

what do ya know! I learn something new every day!
I am intrigued.
Personally, I don't think Snape would ever take a drink (or two or three) before teaching a class.
But other than that, your premise sounds interesting. Potential for a great deal of angst. I prefer angsty stories to the ones with too much fluff.
This story is both incredibly well-written and very engaging so far – I can't wait for the next update!

Thank you so much! It's been difficult to post regularly, considering the validation wait-list. I've posted more of this story both at Ashwinder and FanFiction.net if you'd like to begin reading there! I've been having more luck posting at Ashwinder than I have here. Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying my story!
Good start - Post the next chapter quickly as this one intrigues me.

Thanks so much. I'll try to post as frequently as possible. I have 40 chapters of it written so far. It's difficult though, not being a validated author, since I'm basically at the mercy of the Admins and their schedules. If you're a member of Ashwinder, my first 7 chapters are posted there.
Well, that sure got screwed up! LOL! But in some skewed way, Severus got what he wanted - which was not to take it too far with Hermione. Hey, at least she wasn't naked!
The overall concept of this chapter was very good, although the writing was a bit stilted. I don't get why she called him "Severus" at the beginning of almost every sentence directed towards him. People just don't talk like that. If anything, I've noticed when people are nervous, they don't say names at all. Also, the portion about the bunny and pet names, I doubt would have happened between the two. For one, it sounds disrespectful and demeaning - something Hermione makes a point of doing the exact opposite of, when it comes to Snape. For another, it sounds like a more casual, friendly banter between two teenagers - something Severus definitely is not. And the line "what's with all the carrots?" makes Snape sound like Jerry Seinfeld, not a proper English Mature gentleman Wizard.
Take those things out of the chapter, and it's a pretty good assumption of a relationship!
very good
