I am in my late 50's and I didn't even start reading Harry Potter until after the third book came out. My granddaughter got me 'hooked on Potter,' and while surfing the net one day, I found a fanfiction site. That was it! My first story, "Renaissance," was published on Ashwinder a month later and I've been writing ever since. I am primarily a HG/SS shipper, but I also enjoy reading and writing RL/SS. I live in Tampa, Florida with my wonderfully adoring and supportive husband, and three completely spoiled cats. (Kallie, Mysha, and Smudge {who was the inspiration for the cat that Severus gives Hermione in my story "Renaissance."}) I'm always happy to correspond with my readers and I answer ALL reviews. I'm always looking for plot-bunnies, so feel free to throw some ideas out.

What a wonderful story. I read this one, and another one, the one where remus is a neudest. Your story telling is wonderful, very descriptive. Maybe I'll try my hand at this sometime. ;) Keep up the good work.

I hate seeing Remus so sad but I know that is exactly how he would behave.  I am glad he had Emmeline.  Everyone needs to have at least one friend they can depend on.  What would the world be like without them?  I don't want to think about it.  Brilliant story.  It brought out alot of emotions from me.

Nice to see Remus finding out someone else did care for him. I like the idea that it would be someone like Emmeline (how little we knew of her) coming to his rescue.

I'm glad to know you enjoyed. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

she brought him back to life! and we cannot but wish them all the best.Oh that sweet kissing-scene on the dancefloor. *sigh*and he's bi how funny. nice turn.

Response from StormySkize (Author of A Heart Beats in Moonlight)

I'm always happy to write a story that allows Remus to be a little bit happy. He doesn't seem to get many opportunities in canon.Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

What a poignant chapter.  I always wondered how Remus handle everything after they died.  Thank you.  You did a bang-up job.

That was sweet. I liked this one a lot.I particularly liked the reminder that Remus thinks Peter is innocent and dead and that Sirius betrayed them. That always seems to be played down what with people not liking Peter much and finding it hard to write someone being sympathetic towards him.

Response from StormySkize (Author of A Heart Beats in Moonlight)

Yes, and who's to say which is worst? Thinking your friend is dead, or thinking him a traitor? Years later, Remus learns the truth, and he has one of his friends back for a brief time. Thank you for reading and for the lovely review ... oh, yes, and thank you so much for the stars!

What a well written story. You have captured the feeling of grief almost too well. With your words and the pacing, you have really shown the sluggish, moving through treacle, effects of grief.

I also like how well you have developed the characters so well in such a relatively short piece. That's no small feat as you have used a very minor canon character.

One of the most striking aspects of your story is how it has stayed with me since I first read it. I had a horrid moment of realisation when I saw Emmeline didn't make it far into HBP. All I could think of was how Remus reacted, and wondered if there was another reason he pushed away Tonks.

As I said, your writing is so strong it carries on living and growing in my head. Thank you for sharing.

Response from StormySkize (Author of A Heart Beats in Moonlight)

What an amazingly thoughtful and touching review. Remus is one of my favourite characters, and I'm still p.o.'ed by the way Jo just tossed him aside like a used piece of loo paper! I wanted to give him a bit of happiness, especially after the grief of losing ALL his friends.Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review ... and thank you for leaving all those lovely stars behind!

Excellent! I love Remus and its nice to see him in a story like this. It must have been an absolutely horrible time for him when he lost the Marauders. I like that you chose Emeline. It's fun to 'what if'.

Response from StormySkize (Author of A Heart Beats in Moonlight)

I love Remus, too. And after the thoughtless way JKR killed him off, I thought he deserved a break!Thank you for the lovely review.

This was a delightful treat.  Very unexpected - I liked this prompt.  I am really glad you took it up!

Response from StormySkize (Author of A Heart Beats in Moonlight)

I liked this prompt as well. We know very little of what happened during that time period so we authors can be a little creative. Thanks so much!

You've chosen a really believable pair.  If you have any others, do write and share and I'll read!  If that seems fair.  I liked your Emmeline a lot.  Remus was also very believably himself.  Good story!

Response from StormySkize (Author of A Heart Beats in Moonlight)

I knew I wanted to feature Remus in my story. Finding him a suitable partner was more difficult than I thought it would be. The prompt specifically said to write a romance between two 'canon' characters, and there don't seem to be many female canon characters that fit the bill. I'm happy to know you enjoyed what I came up with.Thank you very much.

A good choice of characters for a romance. Poor Remus, so miserable at the begining. This is a sweet tale made bittersweet by our knowledge of the future for both characters.

Response from StormySkize (Author of A Heart Beats in Moonlight)

Yes, both doomed to die by JKR's ruthless pen. Thanks be that they can live forever here and in our hearts. Thank you very much.
