Why wouldn't a married professor be allowed to have his wife live with him? No offense, but that seems bizarre. Universities that provide housing to their professors don't require their spouses live elsewhere. If so, who would want to teach? Are children to learn that teachers are not like other people or that husbands and wives and/or parents live apart? Or is it that professors are not allowed certain basic rights and freedoms enjoyed by the general population, such as the freedom to live as a family unit. I know I am ranting, but it just strikes me as so wrong. Minerva's statement: "I will not forbid your wife from coming and visiting you after hours" makes his marital relationship with his wife sound sordid and something that must be kept in the dark and be secret. As if he is sneaking in a prostitute.

I thought that Hermione was going to tell her. Oh, well, maybe it's for the best. Who knows, maybe the kids will tell thier parents how stupid the fued is and help rectify the problem.So with Severus returning to the castle, that will be interesting. 

I can't wait to see the interaction between the children and how they give their parents a lesson in friendship. I wish that Hermione could go to Hogwars with her husband. Seems like that would be a stipulation of his or that it would be allowed.

Interesting that he doesn't know who saved his life. Odd that Hermione can't live at Hogwarts with her husband.

Good chapter. I want to see more or Minerva's and Severus's friendship. (and an order of chips with that.)

I think the children will be a revelation.  And I love his description of Hermione.  Hopefully she has an easier pregnancy than I am having.  

I like that Severus is going back to Hogwarts.  But, I worry about Hermione.  Will she be ok, going back and forth to their home and Hogwarts, while pregnant.  What will the children of Hermione's old friends do when they see Severus.  Evil author, you've hooked me really well!

I'm really hoping the new generation of Weasleys and Potters will turn out to be more decent!

I think it will be an interesting year too.I can see that this was a difficult chapter for you as it showed a little in the story.  You managed to carry it off fairly well though.

I am also curious why Hermione can't come to live at the castle with Severus.  Obviously Nicoletta will be staying in her own sorted house and not staying with her father, but as long as they are married there wouldn't be anything immoral about them being together.  It seems like it would be a big secret that she would be there in the evenings.Good job, by the way.  Keep up the good work.  :-D

I have a big smile on my face.  This is an interesting story.  I look forward to what happens next - where will Nicoletta be sorted?  how will everyone react to Snape?  when will Hermione face Harry & co.?  Oh - the anticipation!

I admit that I am a tad worried, I am glad you have Severus there so she at least have someone she can trust, even if she should figth some of her own battles. Let us hope that the children who are arriving won't be to prejudiced by their parents, parents who wouldn't know what friendship entails even if you spelled it to them. (I am so mad at Harry, Ron and the rest of the Weasleys! Hermione migth have been the smartest witch of her age, but boy did she have a lousy luck/taste in friends! )

Poor Severus. It seems like he going to miss all the little bits of being with his wife during her pregnancy. They need to relax a bit about their daughter. Minerva is right. She has two strong parents, and will be able to take care of herself!

Finally, a new chapter! This was well worth the wait. I am hoping that the kids will not let their parents influence them against Nicoletta, no matter what house she is in! I have a question though, I thought Serverus knew that James Potter saved him that day at the Shrieking Shack. Wasn't his life debt to James transferred to Harry after his death?
