ReviewedHis screams matched those coming through the walls. Fierce rage and bitter anguish colliding in a symphony of echoes against stone. He struggled against chains, adding to his misery with now bloodied wrists.
“I’ll kill you,” he yelled out in vain.
The feminine cries faded just before the Dark Lord entered his cell.
“No, Severus. My spy, my most loyal servant, it is I who shall kill you.
“Did you really believe a Mudblood, your wife, could keep your secrets hidden from me?”
Voldemort cackled wildly. “Goodbye, Severus. She will join you as soon as Macnair has finished.”
Avada Kedavra!

Thanks so much. I was trying for maximum impact with minimal words, so I'm glad it came off that way for you. It is a terribly sad story and it was very hard to refrain from scurrying off to write an: 'ah, just kidding. it was Hermione that AK'd the bad guys'. But that wasn't this fics intended ending so I stuck to my guns - even though that was very hard to do. Thanks for reviewing!!
